'.pak' files are only renamed '.zip' files.
You only need to have the same folder structure as in the 'addons' directory within this '.zip' file:
catalogs
        planets
        stars
        ....
And so on.

How do you increase the Screen resolution for Windows mode? I can only change Window's size and I can't even change the Fullscreen resolution even while in Fullscreen mode...

In window mode, you can make the window bigger than the desktop.
With the Alt key and the left mouse button you can move the window.

Isn't that highly tedious though? Alt key + left mouse to move to parts of the screen I can't see constantly?

Unfortunately yes. But otherwise it is not possible. And it should actually be used only to create screenshots in higher resolution.

Extremely unfortunate for a game like SE not supporting higher resolution in Windows mode without having to gigantisize it. :(

Will there be some sort of "creating" your OWN solar system? Adding stars, planets etc. and seeing what happens in real-time.

I realized that when you use a spacecraft and escape the gravity of a nearby planet, and enter interplanetary space, it is no longer possible to rely on telemetry, why? I wanted to be able to travel between planets in the same way that the man arrived in the moon or the probes arrive on other planets, I want to use warp only for interstellar / intergalactic travel, is a conventional interplanetary flight system planned? like an ksp or more complex?

sorry for my english
In such a hostile universe it is not necessary be the center to be special, just be alive

No, I mean some sort of "Simulation" or "Sandbox". And by "real-time" I mean that when adding a Black Hole, to see it "sucking" everything right when I hit "play".
This suggestion is a change to the current Editor system.

General questions about SpaceEngine

Spector, SpaceEngine is not a physics simulator, and probably never will be. That's not what the engine is built to do, and it would be a huge amount of work to make that happen. If you want to do things like that, play Universe Sandbox.

Critical error - Obsolete OpenGL version.

I am receiving the following message on trying to start Space Engine:

You have Obsolete OpenGL version (1.1).
Update your graphics card driver or install compatible hardware.

My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 7970M(Linked). The driver software is 17.10.3211.1031-170704a-316 030C-CrimsonReLive
My graphics card software is up-to-date and says that it has OpenGL version 6.14.10.13476

SE is set to use the Radeon graphics card, but I still get the critical error.

Please see the attached log file.

How are new songs chosen and selected to be added to the game? I am putting together an album that will fit with the game and am just curious.

Thanks.

What happened when I was gone? The last version I had downloaded was 9.8.0 and the site is now all spiffy. Not a concern at all! I'm pretty happy.

I'm bad with technology and this site/forums are taking a while to get used to. Can someone give me a TL;DR recap? Did SpaceEngineer get enough money for his goal?
