Ship views while in ship mode

17 Oct 2024 23:49

How do I program flight mode switching ship views into my joystick?

I'm looking thru the keys.cfg file and don't know where to find it. I don't know what any hot keys might be either, or what their reference name might be in that list.

It's where you click on the little camera button at the bottom of the screen and you change external views....how do you program that into your joystick?
Thanks;

I have VKB Gladiator stick w throttle.

if you look for the keybind associated with key "4" on the keyboard, which is the one switching between views, you'll find it in "Common controls" > "Take control of spacecraft". When selecting your stick in the Controller drop-down list, you can associate it with whatever button you prefer.

Look for options related to flight mode toggling and ship view controls in the control configuration menu. These options may be categorized as "Flight Controls," "Ship Controls," "Miscellaneous Controls," or a similar term.
