Question about SolarSysUltra

22 Nov 2019 05:04

I asume that the last numbers of the file's names are their resolutions, if that's so, I just have to download the haviest ones:

Mercury-Surface-PBC-16k.pak
Mercury-Surface-PBC-32k.pak
Mercury-Surface-PBC-64k.pak

But on the SolarSysUltra it's like:

Earth-Bump-PBC-128k-1.pak
Earth-Bump-PBC-128k-2.pak
Earth-Bump-PBC-128k-3.pak

I have to download all of those?

Cheers.

No. If you want the 64k version, you also need to download the 32k and 16k versions. (If you're happy with 32k, you do not need the 64k versions.)
I have to download all of those?
Yes.
And you also have to download the corresponding lower versions.
For example, if you want the 128k versions of the Earth, you also need to download the 16k, 32k and 64k versions.

If you want the highest resolution available for all objects in the solar system, you need to download all the files, that's about 45 gigabytes.
