Work progress 0.991

21 Apr 2020 08:22

I'm not seeing an update yet. Steam is set to auto-update but I'm still at 0.990.39
The update is so far only in the official beta branch.
To get it, you have to go to the properties and select 'beta - public beta branch' from the 'BETAS' page.

Oh thanks! Somehow, I hadn't realized it was only available to the beta. I will just wait for these updates to reach the official release

We haven't found any of those. But these are theoretically possible objects.

Submoons are a really interesting concept.. Will procedural palettes be possible? It would choose from a range of sorts, selenas and ice worlds would have grays, tans and pale colors, while gas giants choose from browns, blues, cyans, and various other colors.

I've bought SpaceEngine on launch day and I can safely say it's been an amazing journey seeing this program evolve and seeing what all the new updates have to offer. Thank you SE Team for this fantastic program!

EDIT: I have 1 question: will textured clouds like Earth and Mars also be volumetric, or will they stay the same as they always have, like the catalog nebulae?

very interesting additions are coming! :-D
I hope the fuel and radiator systems are moddable so that we can find a good balance between realism and gameplay...

I'm pretty sure the cloud textures will be unnecessary when 3D clouds will be implemented. Also we have to remember that the feature is in very early stage of development. I'm quite certain it's gonna take months to make this happen if we're being optimistic, but with the SE team expanding I am of good thoughts.

Good job guys, its getting always better!

(I left the forum for a while and this happened lol.)
