ince the ring objects are just a post-processing trick if I remember correctly
Rings rendering is not a "post processing trick", it is a volumetric ray marching shader that is integrated with the scene.
I wonder why he hasn't expanded to a small team yet?
I recently addressed this, at least partially, on the Steam forums: https://steamcommunity.com/app/314650/d ... 381/?ctp=2
Ah, my mistake, all I remembered was that they were handled differently and completely separate graphically, I poorly understand graphics (engines/terminology) so forgive my lack of understanding.

As for the steam post, that was very informative, I did recall you guys assembling a team, sad that fell apart (or finished, whatever the context). It is good that you guys are trying to get a team together still, you guys are literally building a universe after all (even if indirectly through procedural generation and processing/extrapolating catalogues).
To reality, through nothing, from un-everything.

I want to know this, I love so much this simulator and it would suck if this affects it.

Work progress 0.991

05 Mar 2022 09:35

Some information was given on the official Discord, in short:
-They are in the process of moving SpaceEngine out of Russia as the different sanctions obviously impact the financial model
-There should be a blog post about all of this soon-ish
-Vladimir may be leaving Russia in the near future depending on how the current situation develops

I wish this sort of information was made available to the broader community easily instead of being buried in text channels, but I guess the whole situation is stressful and it would take precious time away from actually solving problems.

I wish the best to the SE team, good luck with everything that is going on!

I definitely wish the best for vladimir and his team and the amazing work that they have been doing for years, I love so much this simulator, it is very special for me since I share my screenshots ingame with my friend and their reactions always are amazed for what they see, specially with images like this:

Given the fact that a new SE build came out last month [albeit as a beta build] its safe to say that SE development is still ongoing, just at a slower pace.

Where? Why no news about it? What is the changelog? Can I read?

Beta builds are announced in the spaceengine discord server first since a while. Usually, beta testers use those channels to communicate.

You not happy to be a crew member.

So. We were waiting for almost a year and here is a patch note where a couple of interface trivia is fixed and that's it? 9 months of development of an early access game and not a single graphical or gameplay update? Is that for real or just April fools' is coming?

You have to be patient (yes, and is not easy)

Kerr Black holes and 3d clouds takes more than 9 months for like 2 or 3 people for development.
