i know this is probably a really basic answer but i honestly think 0.990 might be a bit much for your 580 and/or your 4660

Well, it does meet the recommended system requirements. And one thing is for sure, the white color that I'm trying to fix has nothing to do with the hardware. The greenish/reddish rocks aren't related to the hardware either, since I haven't encountered them on other planets except for the one I created. As for the export textures bug, idk what to say, since the bug occurred even when I exported at 1024 pixels.

weird, because that definitely sounds like a hardware issue or a driver issue

The white areas are not a bug, they are a feature I have no idea how to edit. Since white isn't included in the color palette, it must be something else that's causing the high-altitude rocks to appear white.Image
Also, the reddish/greenish rocks...

To troubleshoot this kind of issues some things are needed, like a copy of the se.log file available in spaceengine system folder, a copy of the script files in planets folder and stars folder, the exported textures.
Since latest optional drivers from AMD have issues with SE because of their OpenGL implementation, it should be noted that AMD drivers different from 22.5.1 are not recommended right now.

Yes, I am using the 22.5.1 drivers. However, how do I post the necessary documents?

Ok, I found out myself how to do it. The files are:
1. se.log
2. a star barycenter
3. the 2 stars orbiting that barycenter
4. the planet.
5. Elevation map
6. Color map
7. Glow map
8. Normal map

It looks like changing the weight of the preset does this:

The second one looks better, but is still greenish/reddish.

Also, what do "ModulateColor" and "ColorVary" do?

Update: The red/green bug has been encountered on another planet. I tried lowering the graphics settings, but it only made things worse.

I fixed the white areas issue. Since the brightness of the terrain increases as the altitude increases and the saturation was low, the terrain became white at high altitudes. But I'm still having issues with the green/red thing. It seems like it has nothing to do with the planet itself, as I encountered it on a procedural planet, too. On brown rocky planets, the terrain is "split" into greenish or yellowish and reddish patches. There are also dark areas, which are scattered everywhere, especially where the altitude is low. These are much bigger, but small in comparison to the planet itself, as they can only be seen if you are close to the planet. They are surrounded by saturated green and red patches and seem to have a different texture from the rest of the planet.

Buy why does the brightness of the terrain increase as the altitude increases, though?

The texture used by the solar system browser browser and the texture I receive after exporting are the same. This information might by helpful.Image

I encountered another issue with an eccentric gas giant. The day side looks green and the night side looks red. I have no idea why. It's cold and it should be dark on the night side.
