Oh I though this topic thread was about troubleshooting bugs of 0.990 :ermm:

And who is complaining about 980 in this thread? My initial post was about 990 flickering, the same complaint you have.

I'm curious to know what parts of 98 you think do things better than 99.

Now you are getting way off topic for this thread.

(And now the quote system is somewhat messed up.)

I don't think I'm being off topic when I ask you what's wrong with 0.990 after you begin complaining about 0.990.
I also wouldn't mind it if you stopped being passive aggressive ;)

But you didn't ask about what I thought was wrong with 990, you  asked what I thought was so much better with 980. You can keep bringing it up, but let's see how patient the moderator's are with this line of "conversation" in the 990 bug report thread.

I'm being passive aggressive? That's rich. I wouldn't mind if you didn't keep moving the goalposts.

And my "complaint" about 990 here was exactly the same as NOBODYs.

longname, stop trying to get people to have off-topic discussions with you in this thread, and stop accusing people of things.
I realize the driver may be old, but I am given to understand that SE .9.8.0 will cease to work with newer versions

The download page clearly states that the issue exists for driver versions 436.02 and later. Since you're already past that, you might as well update. Anyway, there is a workaround for that issue.

Sorry I only got confused by your post where you mentioned 0.980:

I realize the driver may be old, but I am given to understand that SE .9.8.0 will cease to work with newer versions, and despite the lighting improvements with 990, there are things about .9.8.0 that just work better, and I don't think I'm willing to give it up just yet
I didn't imply you were complaining about 0.980. I only thought that mentioning and comparing a different/older version of SE in this thread was somewhat irrelevant and out of topic. Sorry if I gave wrong impression. I am not native English speaker :(

Abner said some things about 0.980 were better than 0.990 and I thought to ask them about that. I didn't realise that was going off topic.

Ah... then I may give that try. Thanks.

Found a bug with regards to pressing the info button for galaxies. The program in its entirety crash when the info button is pressed for a galaxy; whether it is procedural generated or not. It doesn't seem to happen with planets or other smaller-scale objects. I am running Windows 11 on a DELL XPS 8940, my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, I have 32 gigabytes of installed RAM, and an Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz   3.60 GHz.

It's a known bug, could be related to another one related to the wiki window, devs are investigating the issue.

"NoOcean    False"  doesn't mean anything to the engine - it doesn't describe anything about the ocean. You need to replace the NoOcean parameter with this, which contains actual information for the engine to generate the ocean with:
	Ocean
	{
		Depth           1.3915
		Hapke           0
		SpotBright      2
		SpotWidth       0.12
		DayAmbient      0.03
		ModulateBright  1

		Composition
		{
			CO2       	89.145
			SO2       	10.85500
		}
	}

ЗдравсПривет! У меня проблема с музыкой в игре, она автоматически меняется каждый раз, когда я появляюсь на какой-то планете. А мне это не очень удобно. Не могли бы вы добавить функцию "Отключить автоматическую смену музыки"?
