modelling almost finished, starting texture work
Good lords, that's
wonderful!
This is giving me warm flashbacks to the days when the Star Trek Bridge Commander forums were bursting with active modelling projects!
Thank you! I choose to make it for SE because it's lacking high quality cockpits. The reason I choose the Type-15 Shuttlepod is that it's not complicated to model and a good warm-up to prepare for the Type-6, Type-7 shuttles and so on (because last time I did something in Blender was a year ago)... And when I've finished these projects I'll move on to Star Wars, Stargate etc., but these could take longer because school is starting soon. In the meantime I got some structures waiting for SE 0.9.8.1.
Suggestions: If you can, please bake the lighting into the emis map - even the spill light from the light on the wall. And to make the window glass work like on the show, make the panes a single plane of polygons with normals facing out so they're invisible from the inside. Ships like this make me really *long* for alpha-blended transparency capability in SE.
I already baked the lighting into the emis map? Did I forget a lighting source? That alpha-blending thing is a really good idea

but I did not take the time to look how to get half transparent textures to work in SE, it transforms them into 0% or 100% opacity textures with no transparency at all.
//EDIT: Sorry, misread your post :ugeek:
