Is that Hawaii?Little bit of a mod showcase...scr00123.jpgscr00124.jpg
First ship is from AsteronX, we're working on a project with them to bring their ships into SE.wow nice ship, what's the ship you're using in your first image, Doc? and how do you like your Ryzen 5900X...doesn't overheat at all? Liquid cooling?
Also how do you get the ring particles to look so perfect-- are there specific settings I need to enable? Ring particles still look like a blurry mess to me.
This is a little OT but I'm having some trouble with positioning of my cameras, I want to have 8 cameras on my ships and they sometimes end up in unexpected places. Is there a good ship camera tutorial somewhere? I want to have a nice view under the ship of the surface below, to each side (like passenger window views) and above the ship (in addition to the cockpit view of course) and behind the ship (like a rear view mirror). That would be six cameras in total (7 if you include the default auto camera) and an 8th one would be the view of the ground below the ship from above the ship.
Thanks Doc, I think I finally got the hang of the cameras!First ship is from AsteronX, we're working on a project with them to bring their ships into SE.wow nice ship, what's the ship you're using in your first image, Doc? and how do you like your Ryzen 5900X...doesn't overheat at all? I don't use liquid cooling, but I do have a Noctua NH-D15S with a box fan blasting the side of my case.
I disable fast temporal rendering and have rings set to absurdly high resolution settings that I do not advise if you do not have a 3090 or better.
No real guides on camera, but they should function similar to engines
Some screens of a new warp shader using the actual Alcubierre metric/geodesic, red and blue shifting is still faked

I have all resolution settings as high as they go, does affect perf but not terribly on my end, gotta put those 24GBs of VRAM to good use.You also have resolution set to 4K to bring out the individual particles in the ring, Doc?
I'm going to look into that cooler- is it very loud when set to about 70% fan speed?
I'm looking at your specs, I definitely need a case like that. I use Vantec Tornado fans (4 of them) and they are very loud, I installed a fan regulator but even turned all the way down it still sounds like a vacuum cleaner.I have all resolution settings as high as they go, does affect perf but not terribly on my end, gotta put those 24GBs of VRAM to good use.You also have resolution set to 4K to bring out the individual particles in the ring, Doc?

I don't know how loud it is, my case is massive and sound proofed so I don't really hear much out of it unless I really push it and the only thing I usually hear is the GPU roaring when stressed. Half the work of this cooler is passive just from the massive radiator.
