Sorry to hear that about your folks. I know a few people that have had similar stories. Yes, staph infections and the like are certainly epidemic in many 'first-world' countries. It's the consequence of the rapidly-resistant new strains of infections and the public health-care funding cuts - I recently visited a rural hospital for work that didn't even have a professional janitor on duty! When I asked them about this they simply said that they couldn't afford to employ one.A-L-E-X: They both caught staph infections in hospitals, weird thing was, my mom's was in 1990 and my dad's in 2014. It's a problem that still hasn't been properly addressed in hospitals. And now we have skin-eating bacterial infections that seem to be on the rise also (as well a brain parasitic amoeba.)
Thanks and they dont use proper sterilization procedures eitherFrom here:

Very cool. What did you use to get the image? Some sort of program? The wiki link you gave didn't explain that part.
That reminds me of how spiral galaxies resemble the graphical depiction of the Fibonacci series! And how the large scale structure of the universe resembles the structure of our brains (or if you want to go in the other direction how slime molds create structures that resemble human architecture such as subway systems.)On the Discord server, Vigo Hornblower and I started playing around with taking the Fourier transform of various things. Naturally, the idea popped up to take the transform of the Space Engine Logo:

I thought it looked very cool.Like a telescopic image of a quasar or something.
My avatar image is also a Fourier transform, of sorts. But it's a photograph, not a computer rendered image. It's the diffraction pattern formed by a laser passing through 3 tiny holes in a close triangular arrangement. When light passes through an aperture, it diffracts and interferes with itself and ends up producing a pattern which is described in the exact same way as the Fourier transform of the aperture. Nature works in marvelous waves.
I used a free Fast Fourier Transform software which you can find here:
