The weird part is that during the months of July and August, the two months of the year when the climate is pleasant in Scandinavia, Scandinavians eagerly go on vacation to southern Europe - during the two months of the year when the climate is unbearable in southern Europe.

Yes, I find Southern Europe far too humid for my taste.

I did some research into other locations that have high average temps.

I found a city called Reggane which averages around 104 degrees for July the entire climate record of the city

the perseids show this night was awesome! from my balcony with bortle scale of 7-8, i saw 15 meteors in 2 hours of looking up! one of them was very bright and he moved across the sky for 3 seconds with his bright trail
last year i only saw 3-5. 
this year show might be better than last year. so enjoy the coming night americans! 

No meteors visible here through the clouds and rain, but that's okay because it has been more than 50 days since our last measurable rain.  Plus it's blowing all the smoke out of here.

Mostly bad weather during the night before the 13th, but good before the 14th, and I got only a few nice Perseids on camera.  I looked at the sky for about 20 minutes around 22:30 last night, saw none, but the sky was still pretty bright at that time, only the brightest stars visible.

Hello!  not sure if some of you astronomers or star gazers know about this, but there's a website I found that is a sky map. and its REALLY good! like google earth but space and a lot better! its high resolution, has different modes like inferred, ultraviolet, ect. and its very easy to control and has a lot of info of stars and such! I think this website is very good for those who are into astronomy or stars or just like to look at that stuff The link I have set is Mode DSS2 and because of that the screen will be black at first. just move around a little by using the two up and down arrows for a little and the screen should come back on.

Yeah, and I'm against all forms of nuclear weapons (including the bombs dropped on Japan) but I only know about Reggane because I collect data on the coldest and hottest places in the world and the temperature averages of Reggane really stick out.
