Will there still be support for the old nebulae in 0.990 or will it be removed entirely?
Old nebulae will still be there.

Because recreating the entirety of existing real nebulae with new raymarching shaders right now is not possible, only for some of them and quite some work. So the old method will still be there.

You mean procedural ones will have the ray marched while the real ones like orion nebula will still have the old ones?

Imagine how hard it will be to transform real nebula into ray marched one!! Maybe people some will successfully recreate the real nebulaes thanks to the nebulae editor and will them publish as addons.

Well that can happen!

I have a question!

Will we see some more procedural galaxy groups and clusters so the procedural universe will look more similar to the cataloged universe?

That would be cool! I hope that will be implemented in 0.990 or maybe a little later (0.995 or 1.0).

Work progress 0.9.9.0

26 Sep 2018 17:12

At this point it's been sooooo long for us "plebs" that there should be some sort of open 9.9.0 beta for the rest of us to enjoy ffs. Like seriously just release what you have at this point as an open beta for the Space Engine fans that aren't in the "inner circle"... IE the "elitism" enjoyed by some in this community is down right obnoxious to the rest of us and that isn't a good business model if you want to get more donations, support and money for all this work. I would straight donate $100 if you take this seriously and release an open beta, and not just giving me a beta key because I said I would donate but a true open beta for all your fans.

Elitism (in general, not here) is obnoxious yes, but the entitlement on our "pleb" side is just as obnoxious, tbh

Whaaat
Idk what elitism you're talking about, the majority of us don't have 0990, and development isn't as simple as "just release it as a beta." Have patience! Vladimir knows what he's doing.

OK folks, let's keep a civil tone.
Let's try and follow Forum rules, especially part II "Conduct and behavior".
