This news really brightened up a week that hasn't gone so well. I can hardly believe my eyes, it's almost here! This next week will be the longest wait yet

Congrats!!

SpaceEngine is fantastic. After setting the release date, the waiting time was the hardest time in my life. This week is "longer" than the previous three years.

SpaceEngineer giving a release date himself? Saying the words 'release date'? I thought the day would never come he say anything about release dates, or even the letters composing the phrase!

Just curious, what could delay the steam release?
Bugs, platform issues, thermonuclear war...
In the event of thermonuclear war, would SpaceEgine get a patch or texture update to reflect the changes on Earth? Extra dust clouds, scorched fallout zones, red oceans, California floating in the Pacific, etc?

I depends on who survives in that scenario.

It's possible in the future.

That is an interesting suggestion, not so much for Earth, but another alien planet with a technological civilization. If the time comes to implement alien civilizations in SE, this would be a must as an addon.

And for scorched biomes there would be a special "vegitation" which is in reality rubble and drebris.

Finally!!! I've been refreshing this website every single day for the last 2 years. Even on vacations and buissness trips. My question is, what's next? What are you going to work on after 0.9.9.0 comes out?
