What's the difference between SpaceEngine and SpaceEngine PRO? Is the regular version 0.980e and the PRO version 0.990?

What's the difference between SpaceEngine and SpaceEngine PRO? Is the regular version 0.980e and the PRO version 0.990?
No, old versions like 0.9.8.0e will be available free of charge on the official website. The new version will be available on steam, including regular version (0.990) and PRO DLC (with some functionality added in the body). Since I'm not a beta tester or a developer, I can't provide what the current plan is. Last known information: http://spaceengine.org/blog190217/
It will have a different license, allowing commercial usage of SE and content generated by it (screenshots, video, and exported textures). So some special abilities (old and newly implemented ones) now belongs to that DLC, and excluded from a regular SE:
[*]Export planet textures
[*]Export skyboxes (including native support of dds cubemap format)
[*]Record and replay camera spline path (not decided yet if it worth to move this to the DLC)
[*]Save screenshots and video frames with transparency
[*]Unlimited rendering resolution in the fish eye, cylindrical and cubemap projection (in a regular SE it is limited to 2k)
[*]License allowing commercial usage
This will simplify selling the commercial licenses in the future. All customers who have already purchase the commercial license will be upgraded to the Steam PRO version.

What about other addons like spaceships ? Will they remain free or we'll have to buy them to creators ?

Why addons should become paid? This have no sense. Also, many addons uses models/design which a re copyrighted, so making them paid impossible anyway.

This brings to mind the debacle with skyrim paid mods.

I absolutely love the 0.9.9.0 steam page trailer. As soon as the pro version is available I'm going to buy it since it is such high quality.

I can't believe its pretty much steam time! I have been watching this unfold over so many years, and now this major step! I loved the trailer, and personally am excited to try out that nebula maker :)

the first thing i did on the Space Engine steam page was to add Tags ...
i do hope many here do same so the Space Engine is correctly listed and reveal in the search
also make sure you click the Follow / Wishlish buttons
because that helps a lot with exposure at the STEAM itself (in various ways how it reveals items to users)
