Past month forum experiences technical issues. It caused by failed backup creation, which somehow filled up the system drive to 100%, causing forum to stop working. We are investigating the problem, but for now I recommend you to save your message text to a notepad before submitting it. This way you will not lose it in case if forum stop working just before you pressing the 'submit' button.

Site is currently under attack from China. You may have errors, slow response and other problems until this stops. CPU load is about 100% and database requested too much. Hey, China, what's wrong with you?

China has also been found to have "re-education" internment camps, maybe they are angry that people found out they still brainwash their people.  Isn't so different from North Korea.  They are also probably upset about their (accurate) portrayal in Mr. Robot.  Okay so if some Chinese agents come for me, you'll know what happened lol.

I fail to see a connection with a DDoS against Space Engine forum, though. Unless they all suddenly became flat-earthers.

Yes that would be weird.  I was wondering where all those site errors were coming from.  Funny thing is I was watching the evening news and they had that story about Chinese internment camps and I read Vladimir's post at the same time.

No big loss.
I think it's a big loss!
In absolute terms, China probably has a lot of SpaceEngine fans. Of course, I do not know numbers, but I would imagine that there are more Chinese SE fans than American SE fans!
And certainly it was not SpaceEngine fans who started this attack.

No big loss.
Of course not many Chinese will come to this website. They do not understand the language. They have their own info pages. For example:
https://baike.baidu.com/item/Space%20En ... fr=aladdin
(Let them translate with Google.)

Hello, I'm sorry about that. This attack should have been done by some SE fanatic. Maybe it's because he's looking forward too much to the new version. We've already explained it in our forum and forbidden people to do similar things.
