I keep a dream diary and wanted to post about some of my more vivid and strange dreams here.  Some of them seem to not be scientifically possible but I'm sure there's a scientific explanation for them (even if it involves heightened senses or something else unusual.)

I documented some of them here. Before last week my last "precognitive" dream was three years ago, a week or so before my dad passed away.
"first dream I had was when he was in critical condition in ICU he came to me in a dream and told me
that he was going to be in stable condition and transferred to room 230

that night my sister called me and told me he was now in stable condition and put in room 2030

so my dream wasnt completely accurate but close enough
missed just one 0 !"

This past week I had another dream somewhat like that.  I don't set an alarm clock or an alarm on my phone because my sense of time (at least subconsciously) is pretty accurate.  I had a conference I needed to attend at 10:30 AM and I woke up at 9:15 AM and told myself I could snooze for another 15 min and wake up at 9:30 and still have just enough time to get ready.  So I laid back down and closed my eyes and woke up (or so I thought) and gazed at the clock on my cable tv box and saw that it read 9:31 and as I was looking at it, it changed to 9:32.  Thinking I needed to get out of bed I got in a bit of a panic and reached over for the TV remote to turn on the TV to help energize me without looking at the box and pressed 4 for NBC on the remote and it showed 4 on the cable box when I looked up- but here's the thing.  After showing the channel for a couple of seconds the box switches back to showing the time again and it showed 9:31 and as I was looking at it- it switched to 9:32- and I was like, "huh?"  Didn't I just see that happen a few minutes ago as I was first getting up?!  Then I realized I was in a half-waking state and that was a dream I had had but the fact that when I actually woke up I saw the same exact thing happen that happened in my dream is what really got me.  It also happened 3 years ago when my dad was in the hospital and it's the first time it's happened since (that I can remember.)  I do have frequent lucid dreams and sometimes have up to 20 dreams a night and remember them and I can enter and leave my dreams at will (and even re-enter them after I wake up and fall asleep again sometimes if I want.)

This does not in any way mean you have precognitive powers... It's just a coincidence. If your dream had lasted a few minutes longer you'd have woken up to the clock showing 9:34 and think nothing of it. It's only because you coincidentally woke up just at the right time that you're impressed.

Our minds tend to keep and ascribe huge importance to coincidental random events and conveniently discard the occasions when coincidences don't happen. Much like when a person is inexplicably cured from cancer it's deemed "a miracle from God", but the other 999 people who died from cancer are not assigned to God...

 I highly recommend reading the book "The Improbability Principle" by David J. Hand which is about this and other related topics.

I remember going to the moon in a rocket with my dad with a rocket powered by gas, the rocket was small about 10 ft tall. I remember pouring the gas into it like a car and going to the moon, the moon was covered with this powder like material that I can remember the smell and what it felt like. I was standing on the edge of the "seas" and I remember going back to the earth by pouring more gasoline into the rocket but it went everywhere. And I had a water bottle that I dumped out that turned to ice instantly.

I was riding on a deer along a road in a town nearby to my house, I rode the deer into the forest. I saw this big building (school sized) called Base 12 where they experimented on kids my age and I saw my ELA teacher standing guard there, he saw me and I rode the deer away from the building. Then I was in a hall where my science teacher said kids were being experimented on in Base 12. I somehow had a gun with me and I noticed that people were leaving the school. I somehow found out that the teachers were aliens and I began shooting teachers. Kids started to have alien features (slit big eyes) I was walking out of the school to see what was outside. I told my ELA teacher to tell me about everything he knew about Base 12. He didn't and then for some reason we were outside seconds later, he still refused to tell me and then I shot him.
 
There was some sort of alien craft leading people towards it,I did a rallying cry and had people on my side and we went inside and was layed out exactly like the school and then I found a room with some people I kinda know sitting in desks that were exactly like they were in my science room. I found out that there was alien masquerading as one of the teachers, she said you need some peace, and I stabbed her with a pencil and she fell down. This kid I knew tried to prevent me from doing so. Everybody stopped going towards the alien craft and it was gone. Somehow I was outside and my ELA teacher was alive and I said "How were you alive" He said that everybody has stunt doubles and I saw a car with his dead body driving out of the parking lot where the buses leave the school. And then me and him were inside a car and he said "Where do you want to go" and I said "Home" and we drove out of the bus parking lot and I said "This really is a metaphor for death" and there was some sad violin music playing and I woke up at 9:08.
 
Keep in mind the action of shooting people in this dream wasn't with pleasure or with anger. I don't mean to shoot anyone in real life.

I remember this dream from last night, I was in some sort of big house, it was winter. There was a fat lady in the house, somehow she was related to me and there was this tunnel under it and there was a crack in it with water dripping down from it. I kept going until I reached this room where there was lots of washing machines. In the "loft" there was a big bed with a frame made out of polished tree branches and the roof was 50ft up.

Well the first one I had tonight was I was laying in bed and I got up to go to the bathroom, I walked past my bathroom and I saw a strange figure outside.
When I woke up inside the dream I told my dad and he was furious.
The 2nd one I had tonight was about good planes vs evil planes or something like that, don't remember much.
The 3rd one I had was that I traveled to some alternate universe. One of my friends had pink skin and it was during a lock down and for some reason we were sitting out in the hallway. I tried to sit next to my friend but she didn't notice me and somebody else sat next to me instead. For some reason I got up and walked down the stairs until there was a dirt floor I ran back up the stairs and I saw my janitor, he noticed me but did nothing.
The 4th and final dream was about the last day of school, everybody was on their bus, but the people on my bus were mostly people I knew (unlike real life) for some reason my bus driver was a man instead of a woman, he drove the bus through the gate at the bus parking lot and though another one. He soon got in trouble and was arrested.

I had another interesting dream tonight, this time it happened on the first day of school of next year, It started out I was in lunch and I found out I could go invisible and fly, I did just that and did things that aren't appropriate on this forum, the principal was looking for me, somehow I ended up outside at the bus parking garage, my shoes were somehow worn out, and I ran down a hill, my family was on the bottom of the hill, I hoped they wouldn't see me but they did. I also kept loosing my school supplies and forgot my teachers and where their classes were. Thus I went down to the office every period to ask where they are.

I had a dream last night about a sort of beach. My uncle was in a pool on the beach, I jumped from a large green metal place with water spraying out of hoses and stuff and landed in the pool, well barely. I also had a dream about mlp plushies (Starlight Glimmer, Bonbon and Fluttershy) they were so soft in the dream

Last night I had a dream about being stranded on uranus, there was greenish ice everywhere and there was a hole I looked into, the light gradually faded into blackness, and I found a frozen desert as a refuge. I also dreamed about cows being chased by bullet ants on a train.

I had this dream, where the Earth orbited an F star, the sun represented weakness and the 2 moons represented strength, everyone was nocturnal. One of them moons looked to be about 3-4 times the size of our moon as it appeared in the sky, it looked exactly like our moon. The other moon looked smaller in the sky than our moon does, had the same color scheme as our moon. With the Mare and stuff. The planet itself (Earth in this dream) I'd say was just your regular Earth like planet....

There was this purplish galaxy about the size of our own, somehow inside of this space filled with stars, as if inside another. Next to it was an orange galaxy with old dieing stars and close to them was a large black hole.

First, I was out in my driveway, waiting for the bus. I got into this car with this guy, this guy was a weird crossdresser, and he drove me to school, but we were early, we got out of the car, and he crashed into another car. Somehow the car was crushed so it fit inside the other car's door. The counselor walked out and told us to leave the property, we left.

Somehow, in another dream I was a human Starlight flying some sort of jet, shooting at the school, almost destroying it, after that I went in as my regular self to see the destruction, and my math teachers are saying there will be hefty bill for parents.

One of them involved being in my science class and this kid in my class was fooling around on the computer and he was caught, my parents were in the room and they didn't really do anything besides sit there, and the ela teacher came in and yelled at the kid. Somehow this happened back in September but I knew it didn't in the dream and I was sitting next to the computer thing where the science teacher holds the laptop
Another dream I had was that somehow I was walking down this sidewalk and there were Japanese empire flags hanging down from the electrical poles, and they had these 3 symbols, one was power, another was efficiency and another was speed. I saw this girl that I liked and then we walked down this sidewalk, we eventually found ourselves to the bus thing where the busses line up around the school for the kids to get on, and we got on. But we got off the bus because it wasn't my bus, and then we got on my bus.
Another thing was that in the 1900's we discovered the first flower in existence, and I remember a field of flowers, all from that one flower me and her discovered.
Weird.

I had this dream where next to my school there was this other school, it was a better school than mine, more like an academy for older kids. I walked out of my school and checked it out, it was nice, then I remember walking into the woods with my dad and some kids from that school into the forests around the school, there was a sort of metal bowl with a grate over it, that would be set on fire to summon some giant ape, that you would have to cover your mouth or else you died from the stench, the fire had to be green for it to work.

I also remember talking to someone on the internet, but they don't exist outside of the dream.

I started my German class shirtless and didn't actually know I was shirtless, and we were doing this thing where we had to translate words, and thats when they noticed I was shirtless and they didn't really do anything, so I put my shirt back on. The next part was that I was being told what would happen if I was born a girl by somebody from youtube, my name would be Celest. (My parents would have chosen that name for me, if I was a girl actually) The next thing was that I was sitting across from a girl thats in my school, but not in my german class, and one of her friends and we were discussing random things, and she thought I had a plastic wrist because of a scar I have on my wrist, she did'nt like it when I told her I wanted to transcend physical form and become something completely different, destroying who I am, but granting extreme power. We talked about our garages, and her friend had some sort of hankercheif, and I touched it and she threw it away.

I had this dream last night where me and my dad had one of those self driving cars. I had another dream where I kept falling into alternate universes and I went into one were my grandfather made the universe, I brought back a globe from that universe into this universe, and showed it to my parents, they saw a plastic sphere, I took it apart and put it back together andI saw satan and his devils doing evil things, and then we destroyed the globe.

I had this dream about there was this sort of party in my gym at my school,  and I had the ability to go invisible with the snap of a finger, and I also had the ability to stop time with saying the words 'Stop Time' it seems to be a recurring theme in my dreams. Somehow I turned a girl thats at my school  into a ball of this magical purple putty, and everyone knew that I did that. So I got on my lawn mower, and got out of the gym, somehow ending up in my yard. I put it on its fastest speed possible, put the putty in my pocket and went towards the road. Somehow the lawn mower broke, and I don't really remember much else.

I also had this dream where me and my dad went to this store where everything was free. It resembled a store I went to yesterday though for some reason. This store sold pretty much everything in existence, my dad got like 4 luxury cars for free. I went in the video game sections and there was a game called "Transformers Kart 8" then they told us to go onto the football field because they were opening 64 more sections, and my social studies teacher was leading us out to the football field, and I flew around above everybody.

I had another dream last night. One where I had a flag pole out back behind my house. North korea and south korea flags were on it, and for some reason the south korea one blew away into the field behind my house. I flew after it and found out that I saw some people from my school hanging out in a building behind my house, which my family calls the shop but its not really a shop. One of them had a big black truck next to the building and I then discovered I had the ability to fly, more like glide, when I glided over the field and got the south korean flag, and used it to help me glide back, where I sat on a table and flicked my fingers and teleported to the flag pole and put it back up on the flag pole. 

There was this other part of the dream where there was this city, and there was a whole lot of cars in this parking lot and it was pretty hot outside, and I was searching for a dryer for some reason. Then there was this other part where me and my dad were in a sort of house in this city, next to this table where there was the same people from the other dream eating food at the table.

I had a dream last night that on the last day of school my principal was assassinated in the school. Somehow people thought that I was related to the incident, and I ran out of the building, ran back in for some reason and then ran back out, flying away. Somehow the united states in this dream was am analog to Europe during ww2. Canada was the USSR, my state was poland, and the nearby states were united and like Germany. 
Another dream I had was that I was in my school and moved up a grade, it was like nothing changed at all, except for the fact that everyone in my grade was screwing around, especially during lunch. I couldn't find my classes and went days without finding them until I talked to this person through some sort of facetime thing on a mirror / window and they gave me a slip of paper that I had lost previously. 
In this other dream I was sort of in the future, I was working at my school for whatever reason and everyone was checking out of the school. I got into a green 4 door car and drove home. It was almost like a blizzard outside, except there was barely any snow, and it was just coming down quickly.

Specifically the ending of school. I always have dreams about 'alternate endings' of school. Then I wake up thinking school isn't over, and then I realize it is. In this dream I dreamed about one of my teachers from last year came to watch the class after a field trip we took, and during that field trip a few people were dropped off at their houses and the bus drove back to the school and unloaded. I don't remember much after that happened other than speaking some Russian in class for some reason.

Well it's only the second time in a few years that it happened to me.  I keep a dream diary (in which I also recorded all the "misses.") It does make me think that time as we see it is an illusion.  Time is a landscape, with the past, present and future all coexisting.  So this kind of dream might be the equivalent to climbing a small hill and seeing a little further ahead.  I also do not believe in "free-will."

I think that's a great idea to keep a dream diary. Today I had a dream that I was in the forest and lost my way...

The most frustrating thing is when you start forgetting your dreams even while you are writing them  But with practice and effort when you start writing them it actually helps you remember details you didn't remember initially.  But I have to write them down quickly or else I do forget those details.  And since this is an old fashioned notebook journal, I have to practice my handwriting skills- it's normally sloppy
The other thing I've noticed since I started writing them down is that I realized I dream much more frequently than I thought I did.  On some nights I have up to 20 dreams (including dreams within dreams, which is really weird.)

Yes, many people are surprised by how many dreams we actually have.  Often when I tell people about learning to dream lucidly, they will say they don't have many dreams, or sometimes even that they don't have any.  I tell them they probably have at least 30 dreams per week but just don't remember them.

For me the details of a dream seem to fade the most not after I wake up, but after I start moving around, and so I find the best way to record them is to recall as much as I possibly can before I start to write it down.  It is still quite challenging though.

It almost seems like our brains are like an automated filing system with a limited amount of space available so the more you move around and the more your senses experience the brain has to do some housekeeping and starts clearing out whatever happened in your dreams (since the brain probably considers dream memory to be of low priority since it is not based on waking real life experiences) to make more room to record your sensory experiences.  It sounds like the way memory is managed on a hard drive.  

A-L-E-X, oddly enough some times I get flashbacks of dreams from 20 years ago, just little bits and pieces though not the full thing.  I often wonder if this is a contributing factor to deja vu I get all the time

DoctorOfSpace, that never happened to me (ignoring the fact I'm 20 years old so I can't remember dreams of when I was a newborn), and I also get very few Deja Vu.  Maybe the two things are really correlated.

However, something similar happens to me: Occasionally I suddenly remember a dream I had (more or less recently) and I'm like "whoa", it kind of gives me a brief good mood.  That's a good thing because 80% of the locations of my book/games (yeah, I develop videogames) directly derive from one of my dreams, I also created an entire Minecraft world using them.  I know that the feeling of "nostalgia" just happens to me, but I hope those dreams gave me some good inspiration that other people might appreciate as well.
