Are there bases?  Like on Earth Kennedy space center.  Where if I had a Launch pad I could add a pad,...

I build things for Orbiter.  I have an Orion that might be good and the SLS,....

ah you're using SE 0.980?
What does your artemis.cfg says?
If all those files are in the same folder, if I remember correctly your module path in the .sss file should be:

Module  "Main"  { "artemis.cfg" (-1 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1) }


Remember to check your se.log file in SpaceEngine system folder or the commands console in game ( ~ key on english keyboards) for errors, there should be some clues about the issue

Thanks.  I will check.  I know there is a .99 beta but can't find it to download.  The one file I need to edit is the .sm file.

The .sm file is a file compiled by SpaceEngine from a .obj file and a corresponding .mtl file, there are no editors for that.
SpaceEngine 0.990 is distributed via GoG or Steam.

DIFFERENT DIFRACTION SPRITES FOR DIFFERENT STAR CLASSES.

That may not be realistic but could using different instruments to view stars un space. Either way it tould be so fun to have some nostalgia and others astroniki and so on.just as an add that you can dwitch in the menu. Would someone do that for me. I don't even quite know how to ask this. I've been sick and mind has slowed some. Some days are worse than others. But what a fun add based on star Size and class. Would anyone be willing to try that addon to see what it wouldnbe like. Or if find time mod that for me

I may need to redo my model.  It has an interior,.....   not seeing the vessel though

https://forum.spaceengine.org/memberlis ... le&u=13565. Isn't on steam there an option for higher amount. The pro version to give extra support? Would those things help at all concerning coding adds. Launch pad animation and such. If so getting pilot I could try to maybe help with that. I really want to see some progress made in a few areas that would be a lot of fun. I just lack the skill sets

Your log says that the materials are not declared. They are defined in a .sml file, as per manual https://spaceengine.org/manual/making-a ... ing-a-ship. See The material library file - *.sml on that manual page for a description of its format. You should already have a .sml file created from the .mtl file, in a addons/ArtemisOrion/textures/spacecraft/Addons/Artemis folder, as well as all the textures for the ship.

the sml file is created by SpaceEngine based off the obj and the mtl file you provide in the right folders.
According the manual, you create the .sss file, you provide obj and mtl files from your sources, or by exporting your own models from 3d modelers like Blender or 3DSMax. You place .sss, .obj for example in a addons/YourShip/models/spacecraft folder, then your .mtl file and all texture files in a addons/YourShip/textures/spacecraft folder, then you run SpaceEngine and build your ship. you should end up with a additional .cfg and .sm file in addons/YourShip/models/spacecraft folder, and a additional .sml file in addons/YourShip/textures/spacecraft folder.
If you don't have a .sml file, then either the mtl file needs a tweak, or the folder structure. if you have a .sm file, you should already have a ,sml file available. Could you share your model and textures so that I can take a look at what could be wrong with it?

Your .sml file contains incorrect parameters, SpaceEngine doesn't use illum or Ka parameters. The syntax used by .sml files is explained in the manual https://spaceengine.org/manual/making-a ... ing-a-ship
Your cfg file contains materials with names having slashes, which probably will create some sort of error in assigning some textures.
Unfortunately, without having the original obj and mtl files, and textures, it's impossible to recreate the issue.
Try this. This is a zip archive containing all the files needed to create a dummy satellite with SpaceEngine, try and build it according the manual and let me know what happens.
