Lol.  Cell phone radiation is as harmful to your health as eating food which was cooked by irradiating it with microwaves.  Which is to say, not dangerous at all, although food cooked with microwaves might still be hot and burn your mouth.

For fun, let's look at the physics of it.

Most cell-phone radiation is in a frequency range of about 500-1000MHz.  Frequency is inversely proportional to wavelength, and for electromagnetic waves follows the relation

[tex]c=\lambda f[/tex], where c is the speed of light, [tex]\lambda[/tex] is the wavelength, and [tex]f[/tex] is the frequency.

That means the cell phone radiation has a wavelength of a few tens of centimeters.  That is pretty big.  Your DNA on the other hand is very small.  Therefore, in a particle-description of electromagnetic radiation, the photons aren't even interacting with your DNA.  Bummer.

Even if the photons were interacting with your DNA, they carry too little energy to do anything destructive.  The energy per photon is

[tex]E=hf[/tex], where h is Planck's constant.

So for this frequency range, the photon energy is on the order of micro electron volts.  Which is very small.  Compare that to x-rays, which have energies of kilo to mega electron volts, and wavelengths comparable to the size of your DNA.  That is why x-rays and other high-energy, short wavelength radiation are what actually cause genetic damage -- they impart a lot of energy into a small target and can therefore cause damage on a genetic level.  The lower energy, longer wavelength radio waves, microwaves, and even visible light can't do that.

We might wonder then why microwaves can be used to heat food and water if the photon energy is so small.  This is actually due to their wave-like nature.  What happens there is that water molecules, being electric dipoles, rotate to try to align with the oscillating electric field as the waves pass through. Then as those molecules bump into each other, their rotational energy is converted to random thermal motion -- AKA heat -- in a process called dialectric heating.  It's pretty simple!  And now you know how a microwave oven works.

Fortunately, this doesn't happen with cell phone radiation and the tissues or DNA in your body.  That is because -- among other reasons -- the intensity of the radiation is very low, so any dialectric heating is negligible.  (Try heating a cup of water with your cell phone.  Have fun.)  Besides, if cell phones actually could give you cancer by this process, then I'd really hate to think of what a mild fever must do...

Actually, truth be told, cell phones are extremely dangerous, because a lot of people can't seem to avoid the temptation of using them while driving... resulting in distraction, accidents, and fatalities.  So I guess that's one benefit of people thinking cell phones cause cancer.  Maybe those people also help slightly decrease the number of distracted drivers? :)

I've been distracted once by a spider slowly entering in my field of view, hanging before me, while driving. I did scratched the vehicle on the lateral barrier for a second, because I react very badly to spiders. So I'd say I belong to "panicking because of spiders drivers" category. Having a phone call with me in that precise moment would have been material for legendary tales  ;)

A few months ago I had a bedbug right in front of me, and I remember I couldn't drive because I was super scared (mainly when it when he flapped its wings, the sound is very loud!), so it's a normal thing!

I thought he would mention the inherent dangers of Li-Ion batteries but thats pretty rare.  A friend of mine had second degree burns from a phone rupturing on his face, seems a bit more dangerous than some low power microwaves.
(Try heating a cup of water with your cell phone.  Have fun.)

Well Mr. Science man, all I gotta do is drop my phone in a cup of water while running a 3D program.  See cellphones really can cook your brain, checkmate scientists

I need to mention a site that kind of has a business on people's fear about cell phones radiations:
www.rfsafe.com

It sells a lot of stuff to protect against radiation, also it has a few "interesting" articles, one is the one I've linked and the other one basically says that covers are dangerous because they reflect radiation towards your head.
It seems like they want to gain some money from people's fear, and I can't tell if what they say is true or not, but what I remember is that they keep talking about an effect that affects the water in your body and can damage DNA indirectly.

I've put this topic on my "book" too  :)
The fact this didn't happened yet it's a proof that it can't be done artificially, or that, in the whole Universe, there aren't civilities that are advanced enough to do so.
