Jupiter's Rings

12 Jan 2018 20:05

Very cool. I wondered when I might see that. Thanks.

Some Juno results are being presented at the 231st AAS meeting. Apparently Saturn's north pole is not terribly unique in having a weird geometric structure. Juno has revealed that Jupiter's north pole has an octagonal arrangement of permanent cyclones, and the planet's south pole has a pentagonal arrangement of permanent cyclones. Infrared images attached from the conference.

While I can say the realistic Jupiter rings, are better than the ones in SpaceEngine, I'm still struggling to get the PNG properly loaded in the game. Is there any other way?
