I don't know how SpaceEngine runs on a 6000 series card but, starting from the rx6600, the amd graphics cards are listed as very reccomended to run SpaceEngine in the Can My PC run SpaceEngine topic.
Mabye there's more info there.
SubTerras are the best!
My specs: Intel Core i7-12700H, Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 (laptop), Ram 16GB DDR5 (2x8), 1TB SSD

Tell me, Dr. Freeman, if you can. You have destroyed so much. What is it, exactly, that you have created? Can you name even one thing? I thought not.

Yes, that was with a higher OC though I don't plan to run the card to such a degree given the issues with the power connector others are having with higher power draw.

i dont blame you lol, these new cards are so power-hungry and pump out so much heat that it isnt really a good idea to overclock them that high anymore, especially given that you purchased the air-cooled model. honestly i wouldnt be surprised if, in the future, water-cooled GPUs become normal, or perhaps even a necessity

Still not going to keep it like this, went back to default profile.

AMD has done amazing things, did you know the new 7950x CPU can run on air cooling and not even a great air cooler?  There was a review about this, that the CPU temps are kept under the warning threshold even on stock air cooling!

I have no intention of ever putting water anywhere near my computer!

trying to make their products as efficient and powerful as possible seems to be AMD's thing

I've heard that they are decent for light gaming from some of my friends. But I won't advise to get one of them to play SE.

Recently, I upgraded my PC and got the INNO3D GEFORCE RTX 4070 TI ICHILL X3 12GB, and SE runs perfectly - smooth, high frame rates and stunning visuals all around.

I picked it up for 800£ from Fierce PC and got a sweet 20% discount deal on DontPayFull. If you are thinking of upgrading your PC, search for discount coupons and deals there.
