I just found largest star maybe ever, vanilla game no mods version 0.9.8.0 also i didnt edited it, just randomly clicked at random star in random galaxy... Look at its diameter: Star RS 0-0-0-840-18123-0-0-26
Type: Red Supergiant
Spectrum: M5.7 Ib
Diameter: 94.3 AU (10135 D of Sol)
Mass: 300 Masses of Sol
Absolute magnitude: -7.99
Temperature: 2386.9°C

I even have a picture, but i just registered bcs of this star and i dont know how to post a picture.
Thank you

You still have a ways to go... back on page 10 of this thread, 83.39AU radius (17,925 times Sol), and on page 11, an older find from another user, 167.02AU diameter (17,950 times Sol).
Keep searching. :)

Its only 0.70 AU for me. darn :/
I don't really come on here anymore, I used to! a lot. but now Its kind of just for news and stuff. I don't talk anymore :/
About KOI-3891.01, are the textures for it messed up for you too?
Yeah... So are most of other "planets" that are obviously way too big to even make sense.

[post]19692[/post] KOI-3891.01; the largest AND most massive "planet" I've ever found.

Radius: 1.24 AU (29144 times Earth's radius)
Mass: 1.4197 million SOLAR masses
I think it's an error in the catalog.
Well... one thing for sure is this: It is NOT the fault of Space Engine's procedural generation, but rather in the real life information.

Most flat stars?

Sorry I forgot to allow UI in the screenshot so I don't have the catalog numbers, but 2nd one is a star in Cygnus

Very odd system.

At first I thought I was seeing a completely flat star but saw it was just a mega bright accretion disk.

So the system is a triple system of a white dwarf with disk and 2 brown dwarfs that also have auroras, one brown dwarf has one side tidally locked and roasted by the white dwarf.

Oddly one planet also has life.

Dude, I think you've found the first Dyson sphere in space engine

Well that's just weird! Exported textures show a world cloaked in shadows.
Tidally locked, but not sure how these clouds would have naturally formed like this.

Much more interesting, I find the gas giant orbiting the two suns. It is not tidal locked. Why not?
scr00004.jpg
There does not seem to be any tidal locked gas giants in SE 0.980 / 0.980_e.
If you search for it, there is no result.
scr00005.jpg
(There are gas giants where the orbital period and rotation time are the same or at least very similar, but they are not listed as tidal locked.)

Perhaps maybe the way rotation period is defined for a gas giant? I don't even know how they define the gas giants rotation in our own solar system as what part are they talking about considering it's fluid and no part of it rotates at the same rate.

I would be interested if someone can explain how they do define the rotation period.

What's that thing on the bottom? is that a accretion disk of a black hole? And if so, why is it not red? Anyway, the only way I can think of how this could happen is if this planet got soooooo close to it's parent star that it scorched the atmosphere, and the clouds are probably on only one side because they're trying to move to the "super hot star" it's close to because the clouds might be ionized, and therefore magneticly attracted.
