So I decided to check out the first public release of SpaceEngine (0.74) and found this neat little planet

Pretty bad - no procedural terrain, just a really low-res .jpeg used for the whole planet

I've been trying to find a way to incorporate the vector arrows into photos

Its like a titanic monolith.

Also, I found a hot ice world in binary orbit with a desert

With the amount of bizarre creatures on Earth, I doubt aliens would look like humans with skull deformations or skin conditions.

Did you make these ships yourself?  I can't find them in either version!  I usually prefer cockpits but I like yours too.  Can you make them rotate?

This is from the only cockpit view of a starship I've found:

Yes, the ship in the previous post and the space station in the one above were made from parts generously made available by ettore_bilbo (he has a thread here in the "Mods and Addons" section) and some parts from the "On-Line Spacecraft Editor" also with its own section here. I'm pretty sure some of those parts are included with the base S.E. program, but there was also an update pack.

The space station also has one of etorre_bilbo's ships docking in one of the many starship docks. :)

Oh, and I have had it spinning at times, a nice slow, stately rotation. Looks nice, but impossible to dock with. :o

I can post a few more pics of it later, if you like.
