The first version of SpaceEngine I ever played was 0.972 and it had a lot of interesting little oddities
scr00000.jpg
Pluto and Charon didn't have full maps so they were procedurally generated

scr00001.jpg
Same thing for Ceres

scr00002.jpg
Titan had blue oceans on its equator, not its poles

scr00003.jpg
Haumea was just an oblate spheroid (no red spot either)

scr00004.jpg
The Sun is larger than the Sun, and hotter too (5860 K vs 5778 K)

scr00005.jpg
Ida's moon Dactyl is ridiculously hot and bright!

That's pretty interesting.
With the amount of bizarre creatures on Earth, I doubt aliens would look like humans with skull deformations or skin conditions.

Hey some questions, I'm making super long videos for Youtube of voyages to different galaxies and to the center of our own galaxy.  Using OBS.  My screen resolution is 1280x1024.  I have the option to use that resolution or to do a lossless crop at 1280x720 (keeps the same horizontal resolution and just lops off the bottom 304 pixels so the per pixel detail level is the same it's just the bottom part of the image gets lopped off)....for youtube should I choose this or use the original 1280x1024 resolution?  I was told that non 16:9 videos dont look so good on youtube and it wont show at my original 1280x1024 resolution, so should I choose the lossless crop at 1280x720 for the videos?

Awesome imagery as always!

It was supposed to be a Hypernova done in 0.9.9.0

Oh nice, you made that?  Is there any way to see an animated version of the explosion, say using the time slider?

There is no animation, its just an edited nebula, not an actual explosion of any kind.
Real supernovae probably will be added in later versions of SE, maybe 0.9.9.3 - 0.9.9.4 or something but I can be wrong
