A minineptune smaller than the Earth? Should we consider it a very small Neptune or a very cold Venus? Note how high the ESI is even though it bears very little resemblance to Earth.

Note how high the ESI is even though it bears very little resemblance to Earth.
The ESI value is calculated from radius, density, escape velocity and surface temperature.
These values are all relatively earth-like on the planet.
(The ESI value has nothing to do with whether a planet is habitable.)

I just found something weird: RS 0-7-970917-2306-63-4-4095-384 B2, a planet with rings that cast a shadow sideways. Yes, sideways, as in at a 90° angle from the rings themselves

A minineptune smaller than the Earth?
Omg so interesting, I'm curious to know if it's possible.
I suppose the classification is that due to the planet's composition.

Julian,
That is more a vapor planet rather than a true gas planet.  Think of it as an Ice planet or water world with a runaway greenhouse effect.

Edit:  This is not to say true gas planets can't get very small under the right circumstances.

and it would have a thinner atmosphere so easier to see nice colors in the sky :)

A planet around a black hole with aurorae. Very weird!
Is it possible?

Undoubtedly the alien equivalent of the Great Wall of China.

RS 8474-1353-8-11843531-674 is a planemo with 3 moons, the weird part is that it is being lit by its closest moon. I even bookmarked as "How?"
This is a 0.980 find by the way.
With the amount of bizarre creatures on Earth, I doubt aliens would look like humans with skull deformations or skin conditions.

Ok, this may be a bit old, but back in the earlier days of 0.990, there was this one star that was very glitchy. I think it's been fixed now.

I noticed that a lot of the crazy objects are brown dwarves, speaking of which. I also found a "blue hypergiant".

That planet/moon looks cool, I might recreate it for my version and add it to my upcoming addon.
