Has anybody seen this planet?

18 Jul 2019 01:07

Not sure where I seen it on the very first time I opened SE, but I've been looking for it ever since without success.

It was a rocky desert world, I think, with a large polar ocean. I think it was featured on one of the splash screens or something, or maybe it was in the flagged places that came with the game, but I haven't been able to find it again. I'm hoping it wasn't one of my 1st random RS searches.

I know this may be a long shot but....If anybody else thinks they've seen it, I'd appreciate the steer. Thx.

Do you mean this planet?

(This is the startup planet when you launch SpaceEngine for the first time.)

Yes! That is the one! Thank You!

…….

I can't get to it though, when I plug in the RS ID number from your screen grab into the search engine, it doesn't show up in any results.
How can I find it to copy the script for it?

You can open the 'Locations' menu (F6). Then the tab 'Featured locations'. There you can choose the planet. (Ringed planet).
If that does not work, you probably have some galaxy addons. Then the address will not work anymore.

But you might be able to find the planet again.
To do this you would have to click on any 'RS' star in the Milky Way, and see the first 4 digits after the 'RS'.
Replace '8496' from the address with these numbers. Then you should find the planet.

Anyway, there is a menu called "Journey log" that keeps tracking of the last planets you visited. If you visit a planet recently and you misclick or you loose the planet, you can always try to check that out  :)

No I haven't seen this planet before. However, if you were to mention here a planet with a picture, then there would be some benefit to the understanding. Thanks.
