Just bought the steam version after using the old version for a long time, sorry if this has been asked before but how do I go back to the old camera settings for planetary exploration? The camera now always rotates so that the surface is always straight down with respect to the camera. I find this very jarring and hard to explore the way I want to. Is there a way to toggle this off? It's very annoying that I can't use Q/E keys without having to wait like 10 seconds just for it to go back to the way I don't want it to be.

Thanks in advance and for this wonderful release!
Go in the settings--> general and disable Auto horizon on planets

No Space Engine news in the whole 2020, weird  :)

There's only one developer and they're trying to fit an entire universe into a magic box the size of a leg, I wouldn't be too surprised.

What's new in update 0.990?

Is there any way to change the dynamic pressure threshold switching between control surfaces and maneuvering engines in atmosphere? It seems to be 10 000 for every ship using the "shuttle" AeroModel which can be quite low in some scenarios and detrimental to maneuverability if the maneuvering engines are weak.

The ship I use has a Dynamic Pressure of 20474, is that pretty good?

Dynamic pressure is not a static parameter. There is no "good" dynamic pressure, it is just a way to measure how much the ship is being affected by the surrounding atmosphere.

I noticed it goes down as I rise higher into the atmosphere, but it seems to always be around 20,000
I found a ship that works well as a starship, a planet ship and a shuttle and has cockpit views.

Thinner air, less pressure. If you slow down it will decrease (dynamic!). If you leave the atmosphere, it will drop to zero.

I noticed there is a direct correlation between this number and the ease with which I can keep the ship at a certain altitude and elevation.  Really impressed with the ship I'm using it doesn't crash or fly off into space too easily lol.  48 hours and I have no intention of trying to challenge my record.

Hello. I wanted to ask if the existence of such systems is normal or not, I mean the "forester" planet sizes. Some time ago there was a post http://spaceengine.org/news/blog201113/
which said that "Fixed giant-terra-giant-terra meander sequence in procedural planetary systems," but what was the meaning of this? Should they no longer exist in Space engine or became somehow better? I am not a scientist and I do not know if such systems are there in real universe. What do you think of that?

Dynamic pressure are expressed in kg. In practice, it increases the denser is the atmosphere and the faster you go...
If the value is greater than the weight of the ship, this points upwards, if it is smaller it begins to fall ...
with my ships, I usually cheat by setting a dummy weight of only 5 tons, so that they can fly decently even in thin atmospheres ...

Thanks, I have your add-on downloaded, nice collection of ships!  I was looking for one that has a cockpit, is good at both interstellar flight as well as orbital flight (or conventional airplane type flight through the atmosphere of a planet.)  Do you have one you'd recommend for that?  A multifunction ship.
