Sorry but I don't understand. It's intentional that the ED Ship Pack has no textures. I don't know what you mean by removing them and wanting the ships. No skin in Elite: Dangerous Ship Pack it white body help i don't want remove it i want those ships.
The problem with texturing the ships is that they are not one model. They are made of dozens (sometimes hundreds) of individual models. Then I have to group together models that use the same texture. All this work for one ship has to be done manually and it's very tedious and takes a lot of time. Then it has to be imported into SE, etc.My bad you said ''Adds most ships from Elite: Dangerous. Models will remain untextured until I can figure out a method of ripping them properly'' i should read careful. Can you update Elite: Dangerous Ship Pack with textures?please:)
That's good to hear. I tested the mod myself when 0990 was released but it's reassuring to know it works on y'all's end too.I'm just passing through to say that I downloaded both Elite packs and used them in 0.990, and they work flawlessly!
I saw your post on the Elite Dangerous Facebook fan group. It makes my day to see folks using my mod. But it also makes me feel kinda guilty that I haven't added any ships since :PI even made a screenshot of it, as evidence.
Don't feel too down about it, things like this ain't exactly easy to pull off. That's good to hear. I've never used a ship mod but I'm considering it because yours seem to be a cut above! How do they work? By immersive do you mean you can move around inside the ship and look through different windows and see different views of the cosmos all around?I considered adding Gutamuya ships in the past, I may just do that when I have the time. Would probably be a good opportunity to mess around with PBR materials (those giant windows would look amazing with reflections).
The only internal spaces in ED's ship models are the cockpits (there are fighter hangars and SRV bays, but they have no windows, and they're difficult to rip, so I use a simplified version of the SRV bays and exclude the fighter hangars). As for the cockpits, for a variety of reasons I use low-poly versions that appear in ED when the camera is located outside of a ship. They may not be as high quality as the full-resolution cockpits, but they're good enough.I've never used a ship mod but I'm considering it because yours seem to be a cut above! How do they work? Thanks! Is there a way to create a new console system which is more intuitive than the default system for maneuvering the ships during flight? I want to use them both for air travel and for space travel. So for things like exploring the planet, I want to fly at a constant elevation above the surface without either hitting a mountain or flying off into space lol. Also is there a way of adding a compass to tell what direction one is traveling in (N,S,E,W)?The only internal spaces in ED's ship models are the cockpits (there are fighter hangars and SRV bays, but they have no windows, and they're difficult to rip, so I use a simplified version of the SRV bays and exclude the fighter hangars). As far as a I know SE's spaceflight model is hard-coded. If there is a way to change it then I have no clue how to do it. Same goes to changing the in-flight UI elements. Thanks!
