This thread contains mods and addons that I've compiled for SpaceEngine. All of the items here were either created by me or processed for SpaceEngine by me. Browse and enjoy!

Note: I will only be posting mods and addons here for 0.9.8.0 and later. For mods/addons compatible with earlier versions (generally 0.9.7.2 and 0.9.7.3), see this thread on the old forum.

Planet bump maps

I hope this might be the right thread to make a request for a planet texture. I haven't done any modding to my SE yet, but for this I would be interested in doing what ever it takes to make it happen. So yeah, I saw Rouge One. Now I MUST have a Death Star rising over the horizon! Like this!

I've changed planet textures and cloud maps easily in Celestia in the past. I hope SE makes it as easy too.

A full 3D model of the Death Star was one of the ship mods HarbingerDawn posted on the old forum: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/17-2613-1

However, for SE 0.9.8 it would probably be better to rename the .zip file to .pak, and I haven't checked to see if there's anything else about the installation procedure that needs to be changed.

Some of the information in the addon is out of date and needs to be updated to work properly.

No, absolutely not! Renaming the .zip to .pak would not work, you should not do this. Either wait for addon developers to update their releases, or - if you know what you're doing - make the necessary changes yourself.

I can't find it, is it on the first post or you need to go though pages?  :)
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

It's under Sci-Fi/Fantasy Ships, but it's going to take a good deal of work to make the ships compatible with 0.9.8. I haven't tried installing spacecraft addons before.

Actually it would require very little work. The only reason I haven't released an update already is because I'm making some improvements to the addon pack, in addition to making it compatible with 0.9.8.0.

It's in the Star Wars Imperial Ship Pack.

Isn't that the Thunderfighter from Buck Rogers? I was fiddling with the Death Star model in your old Imperial ships pack, and when I spawn it in SE, the textures don't load and it's offset from where the crosshairs say it is, so the transformation matrix needs to be edited.

Hmm yes, so it would seem. The model maker didn't mention that. I'll update the description.

It works perfectly for me. Try unpausing time, and make sure the paths to the textures in the .sml file are correct.
