HarbingerDawn's 0.9.9.0 Streams

Any hype that there might be isn't his fault, we don't do anything to build hype, users cultivate an atmosphere of hype entirely by themselves. All we have done is make factual posts about development progress.
I guess that's true
but I can say with confidence that there won't be any more of that before 0.990 release
Fantastic
New features need to be added and bugs fixed to make a solid space sim that companies will want to use. This will provide a lot more funding.
Hmm. Never thought about that.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I apologise if I came across as rude in my initial comment.

On Russian forum everything is a lot more sad... Everyone are just like "Okay, we knew it". I even had to upload some screenshots of strange ice giants possessing a krypton (Kr) atmosphere to show that 980 still can make your mind blow.

I think we'd like to see that here, too. At least I know I would. Can you post it in the Image Dump thread?

ALL the nebula. Also I wouldn't mind seeing Terrain 2.0 on a terra (or whatever terras are classified as now) with life, and maybe even one of the new nebulas as a backdrop. Also I'd like to see some more of the cosmic webb that's easier to see now in 0.990, the screenshots are nice but it's easier to discern three-dimensional depth in space engine when you're moving as opposed to being stationary ( at least when you're in space) Ultimately though I just want to chill and enjoy the festivities and hype.

I really want to see new nebulae, terrain 2.0 and planets in the solar system.

What do the surfaces of Solar System planets look like now with the highest resolution texture packs?

Mostly like they did before. The textures for most worlds aren't much higher (or any higher) in resolution than in the past. If they were, they would require hundreds of gigabytes at least, which is just impractical.

Is the same displacement map for pebbles used on every object with bitmapped textures? For instance, do you still see the same pebbles colored green in green areas on Earth? Or colored white on the polar ice caps?
