Very nice work, Vlad!  I've started using the Best Pixels setting on Sequator to get rid of airplanes

I just pick a good reference frame and let the batch preprocessing script do the work.

I recently added more ram and swapped out my 13 year old HDD for an SSD.

To batch process 10 pics would take 50min and often crash, now 86 pics only took 25min without issue.

SSD is much better (especially NVME).  How much RAM do you have now?

Just 16GB since it's ddr3. Not much point going for full capacity 32GB expensive kit on such an old system.

The night sky is still dark enough for meteors.  Here's one meteorite candidate from last night.  Too small and over too difficult terrain to warrant any search, though.

Nice!  Was that twilight time there?  Also, how well do you see the Perseids there, given that the peak is in the middle of August?

We can see the Perseids in astronomical twilight in the southernmost parts of the country, but it's fairly limited.  I rarely bother.  Geminids, on the other hand...

I love them too but the only problem is it's really cold here so I am only outside for a few minutes to catch a few.

Does anyone have any images of the spectacular supermoon total lunar eclipse?  Couldn't see it here because it happened here during daylight and after moonset, but I'm hoping someone has some nice images to post!

I'll post this very interesting APOD about the blue color in the moon being due to atmospheric ozone!

Only a few glimpses of today's partial eclipse were possible.

It was at sunrise so very difficult to see here :(  Supposedly it was 80% covered but I didn't see any solar crescent.  Mid, did you use eclipse glasses to look or did you just let the equipment do its work?

No filters or eclipse glasses necessary.  Just lucky to see anything through the clouds.
