Klud's Addons & Mods

21 Nov 2019 18:31

These are awesome news, thank you Klud once again. I hope to see many of your highly detailed terrains in the future (old and new ones).
Yes, I will continue.
but you can pull off some decent results if you play around with it.
Thanks. Yesterday I experimented again with PBR and found that the roughness and AO maps from the PBR-map are working, but the metallicity map is probably not. And the diffuse map does not working, so there is no color. It is probably too early to use it. The texture components for the PBR are basically ready, and if the PBR would work as expected, they could be used.

Richat Structure next please
Also, if you can, make a step-by-step series of images out of it

If there's the 3 maps (AO, Metallicity and Roughness) then it can work.
Mix them as an RGB (Red as the Roughness map; Green as Metallicity; Blue as AO)

Richat Structure next please
I will keep in mind your wishes, although first I need to do some other things.

Yes, I understood this, but it seems that the metallicity map does not work, at least in SE this is not visible, unlike 3DS Max.

The surface texture and bump map of the Grand Canyon are about 597 MB for a high resolution patch of 240X277 km (i've measured it on google maps). This means that for the same resolution you could have:
  • The entire land surface of Earth for 1.34 TB
  • All of Europe (up to the Urals) for 91.4 GB
  • All of Russia for 153.3 GB
  • All the United States for 82.1 GB
  • All the surface of the Moon for 340.6 GB (I surelly would download that)
  • A country like Spain for 4.54 GB
It's a lot of memory but it's not impossible with the current storage capabilities of people. I think it's quite fair in exchange of such high detailed maps
My name is Tornadotodd, Ive begged for these maps since se came out. Do you have them and if not would you take payment to work on them.   PLEASE   especially earth.   My hometown is taylor county wv so if you can do a klud style map for there too.. Thank you
