my"editor" icon is grayed out and i cant click on it
also the shift f2 function does not work either
any ideas why this is?

If you have changed your video card hardware, it may be prudent to delete the cache folder before restarting SE.

alessandro, if you changed your card but your graphic drivers are the same as the old one, you may try like Mr. Abner suggested and delete the entire /cache subfolder under your SpaceEngine installation folder. It may sound dumb, but check also if you inadvertently disabled planets in the filters toolbar to the right.

I've deleted the cache subfolder and now it works!

I've been experiencing an annoying bug recently. Whenever I open space engine, it doesn't open. The music plays and everything but the window doesn't open. I've tried reinstalling it, running as an administrator, everything. I've found no similar reports of this bug on the internet so I just came here to post it. If anyone has any help on how to fix this, please post it

This error message appears right after Space Engine 0.9.8.0 was installed from the web for first time...I had uninstall the old edition of 0.9.8.0 first. The error message says: "Error loading texture generator shaders. Press Yes to run program with prodedural planets disabled. Press No to exit." The new edition did not load. Only the edition of 0.7.9.0 or earlier can download, no problem.

When you reinstall SE, you must install it in an empty folder.
That means you have to delete all remaining files after deinstallation. It's best to delete the entire SpaceEgine folder, if it still exists.

My new computer has some horsepower and can handle high settings so I was wondering if this is a good combo for a Ryzen 2700X/16 GB DDR4/GTX 1060 6 GB/500 GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO NVME SSD system.

I am experiencing a bug or I did something wrong with the game I went to a planet an the Milky Way and a dropped something on my keyboard I don’t know what I did but every time I left click and drag left and right it goes up and down plz try to help me to fix this so I can get back exploring thank you
