16K!!! is this in space engine? i'm not seeing a download link anywhere on the forum! did you make it? it look firkin awesome! if you want you can post those other planets here (Saturn, Uranus and Neptune)

It's a cylindrical projection, so you need CubeMap.exe to generate the tiles for the cubemap. I made a 126 MB .pak file to use this map in SE

Here i made 16K Saturn texture, you can see the hexagonal whirpool at the pole in high definition

In this case i didn't upload the map yet. i'm going to create a custom topic with 16K planetary textures when i reach 10 posts.

Uranus with bumpy clouds (16384 x 8192 color diff. map + 16384 x 8192 greyscale cloud map) The next will be Neptune

Jewels in the night is what I call these two! But it's not my name its from a elite dangerous achievement. But the name suits these two good I think.
V.1 is a more beautiful/colorful pic.
V.2 has a more Sci-fi look to it.

WHAT! please tell me! how did you manage to make and upload a 3840x2150 image? (might as well just call it 4K because its only 10 pixels off from 4K) so please if you can find the time to respond, I would love to know your secret to how you got a 4K picture of space engine. many thanks

the photo guy, oversize program posted on the old forum a long time ago. Don't know if it was ever posted here, resolution was my mistake when setting it should have been 4k.
