Post more views from the surface of a ring particle!
Very unfortunately, since for some reasons I had to re-install SE, all my custom locations are now gone. Hopefully we will find another one like this, but I can't send you that location now because I don't have it anymore. It's in 0990? Do you have the name for it? I would like to explore! In fact, yes. The second picture is taken from the planet in the system closest to the sun. But even the furthest planet gets to as hot as 1000 degrees...Looks like it is being torn apart? Does the system have any planets?
Literally scorched
I want to fly through them without crashing! Can it be done? It's a different experience, isn't it?
Well done, Vlad. Bravo!

The speed isn't the same across the whole ring, as described in one of the blog posts, the ring is divided in a few thousand parts and each part rotates at the adequate speed.Now... I understand all the ring particles currently still orbit at the same speed. Does anybody know what that speed might be? Outer edge of the ring? Inner edge? Middle/average?

Ah! Cool. I read that (when it was first posted here), and for some reason came away with "for now, all the particles rotate as one solid ring". Really need to work on my reading comprehension! :o
