Trying to improve the gas giants a bit so they aren't so extreme.  I have to jump between many gas giants to make sure changes don't just completely break on extremes but I think it looks a bit better like this

There are some slight issues with cyclones I need to figure out and expanding the gas giants available palette would also help for variation.

Also tweaked the terra clouds a bit to soften them up for mini-neptunes

Beautiful and pretty realistic as always. Will some of the data in the recent exoplanetary weather and cloud-mapping projects undertaken by NASA be included in these renditions? I mean, it is true that those NASA maps aren't terribly detailed, nor tell us data that we did not already suspect, but still, it's good scientific insight.

Very much appreciated work DrOfSp. This is very tricky work since you are trying for realism and at the same time not making the gas giants/neptunes look boring. Good Luck!

I love them!
Just... the second and the third look a bit too much terrain planets.
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

Uhh, gas-giants can be relatively featureless with polar abnormalities and cloud streamers :? :

In fact, one should expect very hot or very cold gas-giants to have rather boring cloud features as a whole. An effort to spice them up would result in surrealism.

vlad01, don't worry, much of this is just showing what is possible and is not what will be in the release build.
