Um, I thought that was a picture from a digital camera. Either you're a mean shot with the cellphone cam, or you just have have a really good cellphone.

I'm using a Samsung S9. I think it takes better pictures (in some respects, like in low light) than what DSRL used to be able to a decade ago. But it does do some funny things to reduce noise. Some kind of clever blurring, which not always work perfect

I went for a walk yesterday and took a bunch of pictures in low light (probably from 0.1 to 10 lux).

It's not bad considering the tiny lens. These are as they cam from the camera, just downscaled and compressed more to make possible to post them here.

EDIT: The forum failed to rotate a couple of pictures correctly.

Those are great pictures. That kind of lighting looks like what my aging Canon Rebel T3 would need a fairly long shutter speed to capture without a lot of ISO noise, so it's impressive to get that quality handheld.

Every species is only concerned about its own survival. Why should we humans be any different? When humans say the world is getting better, that means it is becoming better for humans to survive in it. It matters not a whit if other species go extinct in the process.

And don't get me wrong, I personally do not advocate such an outcome. I think longevity stems from diversity. Humans will not survive long after we've killed off pretty much everything else except bacteria and algae.

I completely agree. But I also realize why some biologists refer to humanity as a kind of virus (Attenborough), when the virus is at its best, the host is dying, and then the virus then needs to move onto another host.... but in our case, well, we only have one planet.
