Will SE implement function that loading large font texture (larger than 256*256px) or loading multiple 256*256px font textures for translators who doesn't speak the Indo-Europian languages?
I found this interesting translation Mod in chinese internet community: https://github.com/System233/SpaceEngine-localization
It seems hack the .dll file and force SE to loading multiple font textures and display chinese characters. I believe it's possible to apply this method (multiple font textures) to the other languages. Well, I was surprised by their skill. :o

Quick question, since planets are getting material classes, will asteroids be getting some as well? Like how 16 Psyche is a metallic object and so on.

Yeah, asteroids have material composition now.  They are all just listed as asteroids no matter the composition, however.

It is being worked on, but for now we will probably just get a fake translucent red mask to cover up the shadow, this could be done on other planets as well, (colouring the mask accourding to the planet's atmosphere and it's parent star) but don't expect this all to come in 0.990.

I need you to clarify a bit the reason for this long wait ...After years, a few months ago I asked if it would arrive by 2018 and you said yes.
On October 24 you said that the work was mostly completed ... 2 months later the steam version was going to be sent.Month and a half later nothing is known ... only that there are people who make videos on YouTube of the 0.9.9 impressive to give envy and the only answer I get is "I am a beta tester"

Could you be a little clearer?
Would not it be useful to launch the game as early access in steam and for people to buy it while it is updated periodically and so the product is released little by little as it improves and improves?

@Nebulax i agree.    I've been saving steam credits since Christmas so I can afford it. unfortunately i currently have money problems. I want to buy this definitely! but the time of over 2 years, and almost  2 months without news I find something frustrating. I can understand that it takes a lot of time and effort to develop something like this. Nevertheless, I would be happy about news like everyone else. peace.

Being a newly registered user, you need at least 10 posts to post files, edit your messages, and generally use BBcode.

If you think that Space Engine is taking a lot of time to release... just think of poor Star Citizen Fans who have paid hundreds (if not thousands) of $ and what do they have to play with...
Yes it is taking a lot of time but if you had seen any of HarbingerDawn's Live-streams you would might have wanted to reconsider. In his very latest live-stream the program was crashing every now and then. It must have crashed at least 3 times if I recall correctly. This must be improved before the program goes live on steam. I suspect that Vladimir is doing just that right now. No more additions and new features - just bug fixes. This can take a considerable amount of time. I wouldn't be surprised if the release comes around Q4 2019.
So next time you think Space Engine is taking too much time to get released just think of Star Citizen :) .

We only ask for clarity and transparency. Many messages would be saved if there was less secrecy, I no longer say only in this game.It is not about "competing" which game has been developed more or has created more hype, the record is of the bannerlord, announced in 2011 and started in 2010. And that uses a base version 1 (warband).
And as you say if you have to correct errors an "early access label" in steam would be appropriate. You would earn money, heavy as I would be in the space engine and not in the forum and you could continue to develop the product more calmly.

clarity and trasparency? like... "hey guys, i am working on my project but it's not ready yet"? why? it's obviuous that he is working hard and he probably wants to relase space engine as much as we do. just let him work in peace

Please understand that this is not about secrecy, this is just about time management, as well as estimation. I don't think you realise but the reason the rule for not asking about release date exists is simply because it is quite rude to do so. We don't mind if people are just asking out of curiosity and haven't seen the rules, but those who know the rules and make comments and insinuations like this come across as very rude. Vladimir isn't involved in any conspiracies. He's estimating, and is very busy and does his best on all, and you really should just be grateful for that, not annoyed at him in any way. Also, decisions made about the game are not up for question and debate, and this is absolutely fine, most game companies do that. You are welcome to make suggestions but please do so politely and do not get angry if they are not taken on board.
