Anyway to get SE to look like this?
Increase the magnitude limit for stars. (F7)

Mine didn't come out like yours... What else do I have to do? I copied the F7 settings...

You may also need to customize the appearance of the stars (Ctrl F4)
scr00028.png
And the screen resolution may also play a role.

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

I wonder if you could add something very simple yet great for a Program like SpaceEngine. The inner and outer habitable zone. So basically the Habitable zone. I think it would be an interesting addition and I'm sure but I would assume it would be easy to implement.
Space is not to be Admired...
...But Explored!
So please get those telescopes out, look at the planets & stars and think
'What would happen if it blew up?'

That's already implemented, isn't it? Planets get warmer as you lower the semi-major axis and cooler as you raise the semi-major axis, so a habitable zone forms out of that.

I guess you mean something to visualize its location.  But such limits are very fuzzy because it can vary with greenhouse effect or even tidal heating.

Sorry, I forgot that I use modified star shaders.
Put the .pak file in the 'addons' folder.
star_shaders.pak
(4.32 KiB) Downloaded 256 times
And delete the 'cache' folder.
(The shaders are only for SE 0.980.)

Without the modified shaders it looks like this.

I do not quite understand what you mean.

You have to put the .pak file in a folder named 'addons'.
This folder is located in the top level of your SpaceEngine installation.
If this folder does not exist, you must create it.

The name of the file is 'star_shaders.pak'.

it would be nice if you put an interplanetary mode of maneuver similar to that of the kerbal space program, it would be realistic and still be easy to control
In such a hostile universe it is not necessary be the center to be special, just be alive
