General suggestions for SpaceEngine

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, or if it's in the To-Do list, but it would be nice to see some weather on some planets. The clouds don't have to be volumetric, but it'd be nice to see the rain or fog on the surface on a planet, or lightning storms from space.

kham132, it is in the todo list.

You guys should really look into V838 Monocerotis and KIC 9832227. V838 exists in the engine but is nothing but a normal star, there should be some sort of sign of a previous nova right? And KIC is a binary pair in the Cygnus constellation. They're scheduled to blow in 2022 and don't even exist in the engine. Would these things be implementable?

There is a star that is gonna blow up in 2022? hype hype hype
Also, are you sure that your post should be posted in this topic? :)

Google "Star collision 2022"
And this is the suggestions topic right?

Sure, it's quite possible that our nebula expert, Bambusman, is considering V838 for his mods.
JackDole, on the other hand, usually beats all in speed with his star system mods  :)

I think NGC 660 should be added.
Just a random user on the internet, nothing to see here.

Yeah, that is a cool galaxy! Maybe someone could make a mod with it :)

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

One small (but difficult I  understand) request:  I am trying to perform a slingshot / gravity assist to escape from solar system and do a voyager style interstellar mission. I know that I can just put a spacecraft at an appropriate point close to a planet and do it that way  but would it be too much to ask for an orbiter style tool/MFD like trans-x or IMFD that would allow for a calculation of appropriate ejection time window, escape vector and duration of engine burn?

hiding now...

Then you should know about a game called Kerbal Space Program, it has stuff like that

Also, a few globular clusters like Omega Centauri are slightly elliptical, due to perhaps being the core of a dwarf galaxy that got eaten by the Milky Way, does Space Engine simulate that, and if not, can it be implemented?

Yes I know. But SE supports multiple star systems.

I realized that there are no planets with a red atmosphere, it would be nice to see more variety in this part related to the soil and the atmosphere because many of the deserts are many equal
In such a hostile universe it is not necessary be the center to be special, just be alive
