I didn't really see an introductions thread so here I go.

I used to have an account here a long while ago but i don't remember what the username was, but it looks like we have a new forum anyway! Anyway I dissapeared due to stress from college, now that i'm graduated i'm ready to get back into the universe!

I actually have a really basic computer and am looking for suggestions on what/how to get a high powered gaming PC that can play all the latest games at max settings. I mostly want to play things like space engine and universe sandbox 2 though. But yeah i've really been out of the loop in gaming/computers the last few years. I feel like my grandpa!

Hi,
as for your quest for a PC that plays all latest games at max settings, I think it's like to embark on a search for the Holy Grail :)
You need to decide a budget fot these things, or you'll spend time waiting for a piece of hardware which probably will never exist.
Space Engine runs on a fairly good graphic card, I'd go with as much as VRAM you can afford, it doesn't really need much RAM. I guess a good i7 processor could cover many uses.

Let it be known for posterity that I've been running SE fine for years on an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 chip. ;)

I was tempted to include your experience too, problemecium, but I felt it couldn't really cover "latest games at max settings" :D

My pc is a very very thin Lenovo portable computer, and it runs SE just fine :)
