The most massive black holes in the Universe

Qr Bbpost Figured he was working on Kerr interiors too since he made the post on this page about Kerr black holes:

I didn't see any correlations, it just seemed somewhat relevant. Either way, trajectories in SE are completely Euclidean and Kerr interiors would be extremely difficult to implement.

Qr Bbpost But what about those images Vlad posted from the interior of Kerr black holes showing the grid lines and the two horizons- do you think that's a possibility within the following year at least?

When did Vlad show Kerr interiors?

36895 So I can set both constant altitude and constant speed? Hold altitude does what it says on the tin, it locks your altitude. Fly to the desired height then activate, or use it to prevent a crash landing, You are free to change your speed and rotational on the horizontal plane, but vertical mov...

Universe Sandbox to SE File Converter

32916 9/30/20 - The current version of the converter is not totally accurate, but me and another great developer are working on updating it now. The updated version will be posted here when it is complete. It will be completed soon, so stay posted if you are interested. For now, use the converter l...

The most massive black holes in the Universe

36891 I wonder how long down the road that would be for us to have Kerr black holes like in the videos you posted? Probably never. SE would need a total rewrite to handle any sort of relativity or relativistic effects beyond increasing object masses near C and distorting the view in accordance to r...

36889 I have to maintain a fixed altitude above the surface without constantly being at the controls..... Find a planetary ship, such as the Skylone, and use the hold altitude button. It's left of the face target button. Just keep in mind some buttons do different things between Orb, Warp, Dock and...

Black Hole Interiors

SpaceEngineer , SE calculates black holes from a stationary vantage point as I've said before. What are you going to do with the ergosphere, where you'd have to go FTL to remain stationary relative to distant stars? I'm not confident in the realism of the current black hole shaders, let alone Kerr ...

36874 Or you can use the "go to" with warp that boosts your ship to 10 km/s relative to your target and engages warp until you're there.  You can then increase your relative speed to make the trip shorter if you wish to. You don't need to wait until that's done to increase your relative s...

26015 Inside the larger black holes, like the huge one you mentioned where you get 18 hours of time before getting near the singularity, you dont notice anything different then from a regular space journey, except that everything is dark around you?  The passage of time and everything else occurs j...

36867 I'd like to export star browser files too, I'm having to take screenshots of the results to explore them later, which is rather inconvenient. You can already export them, but it's annoying browsing them through Notepad unable to sort the result. You can sort by size, has life, etc. and export...

General suggestions for SpaceEngine

36858 I want to find the most luminous stars in it, the one with the most planets, etc. Removing the maximum search radius and maximum list size would be helpful for this. I just want the star browser to progressively scan any area of space without cutting results or stopping at some arbitrary limi...

Dream Game Concept

2962 Not many people would be interested in just colonizing and exploring space and to those people, even the most well built game can become quite boring very soon. Kerbal Space Program is one of the best space sims ever and it has 0 combat. Just saying. This dream game needs more depth, combat wo...

Qr Bbpost Do you think the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram will ever be incorporated into this software?

Maybe. We don't know.

Relatively pointless.

Evolution of the Solar System

It'll be much easier to depict each of the Solar System's life stages as separate mods, such as entire collection of continental drift maps for Earth, The Earth before and after its collision with Theia, leading to the formation of the Moon, and what the entire Solar System will look like when the ...
