Work progress 0.991

I'm sorry for so long timw without updates. I lost a habit to post dev screenshots. And too lazy to write blog posts :)

So, 3D rings. Working on it since August together with Duke. Completeness is 90%. This is raymarching, so rocks are not spawned/deleted, they are "generated" on the fly along the ...

Future of space engine

Relax. There are many reasons why development is slow.

1) Having money does not mean having a good team. We hired some programmers, and they worked for a while, but leave. Managing team is not easy.
2) We don't have that much money. Only for 2-3 programmers. We have 2 now, including myself.
3) I ...

Hawaii Islands (for SE 0.9.9.0)

Great work! This addon should be uploaded to the Workshop. How to do this is briefly described here:

I designed a crewed interstellar spacecraft

Some criticizm here.

1) 120 tons is extremely small payload even for robotic mission. ISS has a mass of 400 tons, and it is not a very convenient habitat for 4 astronauts. Relativistic starship must have extreme radiatin protection shield, rotational gravity hab, closed ecosystem for 20-years ...

Update video recording. Doubt Record maximum quality

"Preset#vi" means "Preset", your localization is simply not updated with a new text added to this update. What is your language?
General rule to acheive the best quality is selecting "Very slow" preset and "Highest" bitrate. Although such extreme combinations may bot work. The pixel format does ...

pzampella, in Newtonian scope the secondary mirror in ellipticel in projection, and not centered. If you look carfully at the optical scheme picture, you will see that paths of edge rays are asymmetrical, thus secondary mirror must be off-center to prevent vignetting.

Localizations

Hi all,

It's not much, but I updated the Pioneer Names and Discovery Dates to all the satellites in the solar system to my eng-db.cfg file.  Would this be the right place to upload it for the next update?
Very doog addition, thank you!

Localizations

32577 While translating, I found some minor typos in the english version of several lines in Scripts section. I left a comment under those on Localizor. Is that enough, or should I report them elsewhere? Most likely you already know about them.
Lol this may be too late, but yes, please post the ...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.990

Lujo, I have the same driver version and RTX, everything is fine. Did you try to verify installation? There is an error with default shader in your log file - piece of code is missing. This is must not happen.

Universe Sandbox 2 to Space Engine File Conversion (Suggestion)

Looks like US2 just stores the "state vectors" of each body. This makes sense, because US2 is a physics simulator. SE also have physics simulation, used for ships, thus have internal functions to convert state vector to orbital elements and back. I can implement a new way to define objects in ...
