Sci-Fi System Generator V1.2 SE 0.99

Update 1.1.5 Download: Sci Fi System Generator V1.1.5 SE 0.98.zip I've been unhappy with name generation and decided to overhaul it. It may not have been the most pressing matter, but it is one of the only systems that exists separately from the rest of the program, which means it won't be affected...

Intergalactic trip in preparation

Those quality of life things could definitely get some attention and be improved, but I think it's more of a symptom of the interface and how you interact with things. I believe you first point could be something intentional though. Hopefully the incoming features for ships will come with some QoL ...

The Skylone is one of the ships included with S.E., so it is in the ShipsModels.pak file. For .9.9.0 it can be found at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngine\data\models\spacecraft\ShipsModels.pak Slightly different filename for .9.8.0: C:\SpaceEngine\data\models\spacecraft\Shi...

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Thread

I think we can learn from nations in which there was early intervention and the mortality rate didn't get as out of control as it did in other nations, although how much of this is scalable to the level of a larger nation, is questionable.

37035 We need to accept that we won't get Google Earth level detail and quite frankly we don't need it. We can't say what we will or won't get at this time, just look at how far SE came since its conception with fairly basic graphics and no surface generation. It's entirely possible for SE to have ...

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Thread

37033 Wat, how did the 1918 flu pandemic end?  Was that with vaccinations or was some other method employed? No, there was no vaccine developed for it. They instead used many of the same measures we still use today: social distancing, limits on gatherings, and in some places wearing masks. These me...

37020  After the release of rings, what is the new big goal? Clouds? Water? Please don't say this is ships' fuel or their temperature stuff, nobody wants that, it's no use. As someone who enjoys the flight simulator mode, it's only no use to you. You don't choose what everyone else wants. To see sh...

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Thread

An estimate (by three different methods using excess mortality data) suggests the actual death toll from COVID-19 in India is between 3 and 5 million (versus the official figure of 400,000). Many deaths occurred in a spread out fashion last year due to the pandemic restrictions (which indeed flatte...

AS far as i understood, Vladimir set up a new algorithm mostly because  some people suffers from seeing black lines on borders of some objects. On my side i'v never seen them too. @Khorrah This is just a new algortihm for general sharpness, not especially the galaxies. I asked Vladimir if he could ...
