Intergalactic trip in preparation

37313 Sounds like a good idea!  I was actually just looking at that ship, funnily enough.  I still have to learn how to dock too.  I want to find out how different it is manuevering different kinds of ships as well as the different control layouts.  A couple of the other default ships I wanted to a...

37308 I'm going to try that modified Skylone ship which has a more modest engine. I'd suggest starting with a ship like the Explorer-2a, one of SE's default ships, and docking a smaller ship to it, like the default Skylone. Learning to pilot modest ships of varying scales and capabilities while hav...

37294 Doc how do you like your new Ryzen 5900X?  Could it be run on an air cooler rather than water cooling? So far I am not disappointed with how it performs, but I recommend a larger air cooler like the one I purchased, definitely helps with thermals. 37294 I'm actually thinking of getting the 59...

Do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall from here? Practice, practice, practice... ;) I know you like flying that ship with the cockpit, but I suggest you start with a different ship, with less powerful engines. That will give you more fine control. Either that, or edit the .sss file to change engi...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Hi, I have a problem in SpaceEngine when I enter full screen mode. When I enter full screen mode the cursor disappears and it is very hard to use since I have no idea what I am clicking on as I can't see the cursor. It's not as immersive to just use windowed mode and I would like to be able to use ...

So I pulled the marker down after turning off hold altitude (which obviously wasn't working since I was on a fast rise) hoping to stop the steep rise but it still continues.

Keep an eye on the VS (vertical speed) — if it is negative, you are descending, If it's a big negative number, hope your airbags are in good shape! if it is positive, you are climbing. If it's a big positive number, get ready to say hello to space travel. To climb, make sure  your velocity vector i...

Looks like it is being torn apart?  Does the system have any planets? In fact, yes. The second picture is taken from the planet in the system closest to the sun. But even the furthest planet gets to as hot as 1000 degrees... Literally scorched It's in 0990? Do you have the name for it? I would like...

nationally we just hit 70% vaccination rates yesterday? so let's say by the end of the year we hit 80% fully vaccinated.....that leaves the 20% who said they will never get vaccinated. assume half of those 20% gets the virus.  So we now have 90% that are either fully vaccinated or have caught the vi...

What's the best way to climb in altitude above a planet?  This is the procedure I'm using right now but I wonder if there's something better, since even at full speed (100 main engine level) I still sometimes still crash back to the surface (and the atmosphere on the planet I am doing this on is ver...

37266 It also looks like Pfizer is developing a delta specific version of the vaccine, could this indicate that the virus is close to evolving into an entirely new virus rather than just a new strain? No. The media have been mixing the terms variant and strain a lot (to which I had also been guilty...

37263 I actually discovered a mode where I can climb hills and mountains like an all terrain vehicle can do, granted at a very slow speed but it's useful for examining terrain close up! That sounds like a bug. ah so there is no way to turn ships into land vehicles to climb hills and such? ;)  The s...
