Intergalactic trip in preparation

I was having success holding the ship up at main engine speed 3 and hover engines at 18 but then I banged into a mountain when I took a break.  How long have you been able to fly without needing to adjust something?  I was able to do it for an hour at an altitude of about a km.  I want to be close e...

37333 Wait I can add my own cameras?!  How does one do that?  Can I put one inside the ship and make it look outside a window? and can cameras be added in this way to any ship? With a ship active, press Shift-F2.  If the ship has no interior modeled, it won't make a cockpit for you. But you can put...

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Thread

Yep. I had same symptoms after my second Moderna dose, though much stronger. Stronger symptoms seem more common in younger people than elderly, which is interesting. But again just the immune system at work. :) I'd be more nervous if I had both shots and had no effects at all. Maybe it's because ol...

I wonder what the third shot will feel like once we have to get a booster?

A little something I've played around with: A large ship, like the Star Wars Executor. Add docks for a planet ship or two. As well as shuttles. Use the Executor to fly to a system. Undock the planet ship, fly in formation with the Executor, undock a Shuttle, fly to and dock with the planet ship, fl...

Never mind the Skylone, try the default Shuttle. No cockpit views, but press F2, add your own cameras. (Or is that shift-F2? I think it's shift-F2.) scr05100.jpg Wait I can add my own cameras?!  How does one do that?  Can I put one inside the ship and make it look outside a window? and can cameras ...

Well done, Vlad. Bravo!

I want to fly through them without crashing!  Can it be done?

37313 Sounds like a good idea!  I was actually just looking at that ship, funnily enough.  I still have to learn how to dock too.  I want to find out how different it is manuevering different kinds of ships as well as the different control layouts.  A couple of the other default ships I wanted to a...

37308 I'm going to try that modified Skylone ship which has a more modest engine. I'd suggest starting with a ship like the Explorer-2a, one of SE's default ships, and docking a smaller ship to it, like the default Skylone. Learning to pilot modest ships of varying scales and capabilities while hav...

37294 Doc how do you like your new Ryzen 5900X?  Could it be run on an air cooler rather than water cooling? So far I am not disappointed with how it performs, but I recommend a larger air cooler like the one I purchased, definitely helps with thermals. 37294 I'm actually thinking of getting the 59...

Do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall from here? Practice, practice, practice... ;) I know you like flying that ship with the cockpit, but I suggest you start with a different ship, with less powerful engines. That will give you more fine control. Either that, or edit the .sss file to change engi...

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

Hi, I have a problem in SpaceEngine when I enter full screen mode. When I enter full screen mode the cursor disappears and it is very hard to use since I have no idea what I am clicking on as I can't see the cursor. It's not as immersive to just use windowed mode and I would like to be able to use ...

So I pulled the marker down after turning off hold altitude (which obviously wasn't working since I was on a fast rise) hoping to stop the steep rise but it still continues.
