Help with creating Mods and Addons

Im not really good at this sort of thing but was wandering if anyone liked the way that the stars themselves in our local part of the galaxy, the colors and sizes, if anyone thinks they looked better in the last version. Is there anyway that I can change the stars back to appear the way they did in ...

tornadotodd, if one makes Earth mod of 512000 px wide it will have be so huge that entire hard drive would go to place it. S uch a project is meaningless. There needs another solution as procedural refinement. Im confused as that's not procedural? Also I asked Space Engineer and he seemed to this S...

EARTH 512k and EARTH 256k      Hi everyone. I was wandering what is the highest earth texture download anywhere available? Also I noticed an old celestia post of someone wanting to make an Earth 512k res texture. So I started to search and found that there is 2 mondels available on turbo squid  one ...

You can get better displacements maps from Google Earth and Global Mapper. I've done that with the andes mountain range. Problem is, I don't know how to properly add them to space engine                               Did you ever figure out how to add the better maps, I so bad want to do that. If w...

Not sure but I am more interested in higher earth resolution. Even orbiter is a step above. SE could really step up parts of Earth for sure I wish I knew how to get ahold of kludd bc I would pick up the work on the mapping

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

POST UPDATE ON ORBIT/DISTANCE BUG TO THE MOON.....SOLVED.....       I tired a number of different scenarios and methods to roughly recreate the Apollo missions and times. I kept coming up with very unreasonable results that did not make sense considering other tests I did as well when I thought ther...

Yes it does begin to slow down immediately after shut down.. With that said, slower speeds should not result in a far faster arrival time.

Although I have tried that as well, with sim results,, when i abandoned keplerian principles simply to exhaust all trial and error. I started using the complex math, and worked my way down to simple experiments.

Troubleshooting and bug reports - SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

I attempted the scenario backward last night from the moon to the earth. This time I used an object without thrusters or engine, to set my orbital trajectory as close as possible. I slowed to about 4.5 miles a second and still am making the trip in under a day.  Let's see a screen shot with the num...

I can't make sense of it because like my sun simulation the time was accurate at the speed of light.

tornadotodd , I might be mistaken, but I think this is related to something that's been noticed before where your ship velocity depends on your framerate.   It's definitely weird and needs to be looked into. Something like that would make sense. I left the sun on another experiment at the speed of ...

I haven't done the math or even researched the Apollo mission speeds, but isn't the Moon in Earth's gravity well? Meaning you do not need to achieve Earth escape velocity to reach the Moon? Without doing so would result in a perpetual orbit of the Earth, and the speeds and burns whether accurate or...

Are ALL nebulae planned on being changed to volumetric models, or are there just going to be a bunch of new models for procedural space? As far as I could tell from the test videos, none of the nebulae being shown were real ones, but I could be wrong. So are nebulae such as Orion, Barnard's Loop, E...
