Re: Work progress 0.991

You are kind and dreamy, and therefore naive people. You believe in promises. We have a classic case here of how for years your ears hear promises, and your eyes see collapse, but you believe the first, not the second. I don't live like that, I look at what people do and if they do not what they ...

Re: Work progress 0.991

The transition to Vulcan means that SE has completely abandoned its concept of being an engine. At the same time, it has not become a game in 15 years of development. Now it is not a Space Engine and not a Space Game. And what is it? Space Promises. More than a year ago, I wrote a big post about ...

Re: Work progress 0.991

I often wonder what the end goal of this is, a "1.0"
This project never had a plan, a roadmap or a production approach. This is a utopian project without specific goals and their implementation, so it cannot have a finishing point even in theory. It's like building communism - no one knew what it ...

Re: A hypothetical improvement survey.

This is a completely incorrect formulation of the problem itself. 600 GB is not needed to create a nice looking Earth (and wouldn't help with that approach anyway). There is a project called Outerra, in which the entire Earth has long been made in fairly good graphics, with trees, shadows, clouds ...

ENOUGH

Over more than a decade of development, a lot of words have been said here. But they all came down to this.
Users: "We dream, we want beauty, graphics, games, we want nature, dynamics, visuals, processes occurring in time. We want our beautiful dream of space."
Developer: "No, you won't get any ...

Re: Is This A Lighting Glitch?

This means that light passed through rings dust. This should really change its color.

Re: Work progress 0.991

It will never come if going like this! You think we are immortal? Time broke all illusions. Doctor of Space himself left the forum already. Nobody even believes anymore. One programmer was working? I know! And he was asked so many times to open the code or to get help from volunteers, he refused ...

Re: Work progress 0.991

The problem, I guess, is that there's no game yet. This is an engine. Something that will eventually be used to build a game, that one, for sure, with playable content.
This is MYYYTH. After 13 years of development, we must already admit it - this is a rose-colored dream that will never come true ...

Re: Work progress 0.991

Good afternoon. I only have one question, but it's a big one.
I read another blog post (about temperatures) and I want to ask, as they once asked Blizzard: “Is this a out of date April Fool’s joke?” Months, if not years, have passed since the last visible changes. And so I read a post that seemed ...
