So there was this game called Angry Birds Space that I used to play a lot, but it didn't really get me into space that much, that is until the Solar System update came out around 2015 (around the time of New Horizons visiting Pluto). It was also around this time that I got a National Geographic book...

The first version of SpaceEngine I ever played was 0.972 and it had a lot of interesting little oddities

Pluto and Charon didn't have full maps so they were procedurally generated

Titan had blue oceans on its equator, not its poles

Haumea was just an oblate spheroid (no red spot either)

And as a side note, when making a planetary system, you can use the System Chart to see if everything has accurate properties, such as temperature, density, and system architecture.
