Realm of Arsal - WB project

24 Mar 2019 17:08

I have used SE along with Universe sandbox to create a system for my world building project. thought id share some art I made for illustration purposes. These are all moons of a super Jupiter gas giant called Allumon, the original moon sytem was generated by SE (yes two water worlds, two terras and two desert planets), I loved the set up so much that I tweaked it in universe sandbox and got a working system (minor mass tweaks and a few trojan minor moons). At present its a project in progress with an atlas of the 6 habitable moons (the moons where marginally "habitable", for the purpose of the setting they were terraformed for human habitation).

Hope you like them, they were created using the output from SE and stock imagery:

WOW zhar22, those are beautiful! I love the interface style and design. Is there more of this project online? Do you have an artstation or Deviantart profile?

I absolutely agree with you too, SE and UniverseSandbox can be very inspirational for worldbuilding.

The biggest world most likely will be oceanic. Oceanic planets tends to be massive super-Earths.

Hummm this will really bother me lots if I dont fix it. The moon system was generated in an older version of SE last year, I only made valgar a tad larger but otherwise the moons are as generated. I understand why what you say is true, but im wondering, can I get away with how it is? Since this is set in the Keid system im thinking that the shedding of the mass of keid b may have contributed this, I had valgar as a merger of an existing moon and an expelled body from keid b. BTW all of keid c's planets are water worlds/ice due to hydrogen enrichment (I imagine).

And yes there is more on this project. Ill give you some links :)

Is this world for a series of stories or just a side project? Either way, this is a very cool project and the photo editing is fantastic. Can't wait to see more content!
