Can my PC run Space Engine?

07 Oct 2018 13:40

I have:
Dell Inspiron 15 7000
Intel Core i5-8250U @ 1.8GHz quad-core
8gb ram (7.84 GB usable)
Intel UHD Graphics 620
NVIDIA Geforce 940MX
Windows 10 Home (since this is for consumers)
Is this viable for space engine?
I knew I was an idiot in the past, I have toned down since then.

As you can see in my signature I have an Asus laptop with a geforce 940M with 2GB VRAM and it works fairly well.
Yours It should work as well since it's slightly better, just make sure that SpaceEngine uses the Nvidia card and you're good.

I don't even have an NVIDIA card, just Intel[sup] (insert registered trademark symbol)[/sup] integrated graphics, and Windows 8.  :(

I actually read that 99% GPU usage is completely fine and normal and ran SE just fine with my old system and SE on all the time.  On my new system with high settings it's only been 20-50 pct with multiple sim software running at the same time.
